Itinerary
- Day 1
Antananarivo
Your guide meets you at the airport in Antananarivo and takes you to your hotel. The rest of the day is open, so you can either relax and settle in or take a walk around the city to check out its mix of architectural styles at your own pace.

- Day 2
Antananarivo to Andasibe
Head east early to see Madagascar's wildlife up close. You'll start at Peyrieras Madagascar Exotic Reserve where you can see chameleons, lizards, frogs, snakes, butterflies and Sifaka Lemurs. After that, drive to Andasibe and then spend the afternoon at Parc Mitsinjo looking for chameleons, snakes, birds and the Indri, which is the largest lemur species. Once evening arrives, you'll go on a forest hike to search for nocturnal lemurs and other creatures that come out at night.

Andasibe
Spend more time in Andasibe National Park, which has 11 different lemur species and various rare and endangered animals. In the afternoon, head to Lemurs Island and Crocodile Park to walk among plants and animals found nowhere else in the world.

Andasibe to Antsirabe
Leave Andasibe early and travel inland for about 7.5 hours through the highlands and valleys to reach Antsirabe. This colorful city is known for its thermal springs. Once you arrive, explore on traditional Madagascar rickshaws and check out the top sites around town.

Antsirabe to Morondava
Drive about 9 hours to Morondava on the west coast, a place famous for its river delta and Baobab trees. You'll arrive in the afternoon with time to walk along the scenic Baobab Avenue and watch the sunset over the ocean.

Morondava
Take a morning boat through the river delta mangroves to visit a fishing village. In the afternoon, trek through Kirindy Forest to spot Fosa, Lemurs and many other animal species. The rest of your day is yours to explore at your own pace.

Morondava to Antsirabe
Make the approximately 9-hour drive back to Antsirabe in an air-conditioned bus while enjoying the landscape as you travel from the coast to the highlands. You'll stop at Miandrivazo midway, which locals call Madagascar's hottest place, and grab lunch there. By evening you'll be back at your hotel in Antsirabe for a quiet night.

Antsirabe to Antananarivo
Drive about 3.5 hours back to Antananarivo through the central highlands. Spend the day touring well-known sites including the Queen's Palace, Anosy Lake and markets. You can also walk along Independence Avenue to see French Colonial buildings. There's an optional tour available that focuses on Antananarivo's architecture and history at Gare Soarano, the town's oldest train station.

Head to the airport later in the day to depart Madagascar. Your island adventure comes to an end, but the memories of this unique destination will stay with you long after you leave.
