Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival
You'll arrive in Japan and a Supera representative will meet you at the airport if you make it within the pickup timeframe. After clearing customs, they'll help get you settled and oriented for the trip ahead.
- Day 2
Okuhida
Start by heading to Matsumoto Castle, Japan's oldest five-story castle keep with its distinctive black stone walls and samurai architecture. Later you'll travel to Okuhida and spend the evening soaking in Shinhotaka Onsen, one of Japan's few mixed-gender hot springs with views of the Northern Alps and Mt. Yari.

Omachi
Walk through Kamikochi national park in the Northern Alps along the River Azusa, about 1 hour 50 minutes covering 2 miles at moderate difficulty. After that, head to Daio Wasabi Farm, Japan's largest wasabi operation, where you can take an inflatable boat ride through clear waters or walk riverside trails. By evening, soak in Omachi Onsen, known for its therapeutic properties.

Wakura
Travel the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route for spectacular Japanese Alps views. What you'll see depends on the season: in spring you get a 60-foot snow wall, while summer shows the water discharge from Kurobe Dam. From there, head to Wakura Onsen at the base of Noto Peninsula to relax in hot springs with over 1,200 years of history.

Mt. Goka
Climb to Ogimachi Castle Observation Deck for views looking out over Shirakawa-go township. Then walk through Ogimachi Village with its distinctive Gassho-style thatched-roof houses. Later, visit Suganuma Village on Mt. Goka to see how traditional Japanese culture has been preserved in this quiet setting.

Kanazawa
Spend time at Kenrokuen Garden where you can participate in a special Japanese tea ceremony arrangement. Check out Kanazawa Castle and its impressive stone walls, then explore Ohmicho Market, a 300-year-old spot for fresh local ingredients. Walk through Higashi Chaya District's historic teahouses and create your own souvenir at a gold leaf chopstick workshop. Finish the day at the 21st Century Museum with its notable glass architecture.

Gero
Visit Takayama Festival Floats Exhibition Hall to see the famous Yatai floats with their detailed sculptures and metalwork. Tour Takayama Jinya, the government building from the Tokugawa period with original judgment and execution rooms. After that, walk through Sanmachi Suji Area's old streets lined with traditional houses, miso shops, and wine shops. End by relaxing at Gero Onsen, one of Japan's three most famous hot springs.

See Nagoya Castle, built under Tokugawa Ieyasu's command, and experience its grand scale. Stroll through Tokugawa Garden, a peaceful pond garden with water features and greenery. The rest of the day is yours to explore Nagoya city independently and try local food, with suggestions from your guide.

Departure from Nagoya
Your final day in Japan depends on your flight time. If you fly out in the morning, have breakfast then board the Airport Limited Express train to Chubu Centrair Airport. For an afternoon flight, use the morning to shop or see more of Nagoya before your guide directs you to the airport train based on when you need to leave.
