Customer Reviews
- Nele· April 14th, 2025This was an unforgettable week! There were 15 of us and our guide Alper. The energy in the group was right from the start. The age ranged from 40 tem 74 and a mix of different nationalities (UK, USA, Scotland, Australia, Canada & Belgium). Alper was a fantastic guide, he always remained calm and patient, he made every effort to accommodate our requests. What a topper! He provided plenty of restful moments. I got the chance to pick up some geocaches ;-). Nature was breathtaking and the scenery never ceased to amaze me: no day the same, no view the same. Turkey charmed me so much! The Lycian Way is definitely recommended and achievable (even if you don't have the best physical condition). The accommodations were also varied which really made it a new fine experience each time. We stayed in a hotel but also in lodges (the accommodation in Gey village was basic, the hospitality and food was top notch!). I recommend this trip to everyone, from the beginning to the end it was full enjoyment of all the beauty. The food, the accommodation, the guidance, the group, the walks, the variety of landscapes, ... it so exceeded my expectations. This gets more than 5 stars for me! It was an inspiring and wonderful week, it was one full of wonder, connection and adventure. My very first group trip was a magical experience.Show more
- Mary· April 5th, 2025The Lycian Way tour was a combination of strenuous hiking, fantastic scenery, historic ruins, and most importantly, an unmatched cultural experience. Our guide, Kemal, led us on physically challenging routes, shared the history of the ruins, and immersed 16 tourists in the rich culture of Turkiye. The group consisted of 12 very educated and social Brits, 3 nature-loving Canadians, and me, the lone and solo American on her first coordinated international tour. Kemal encouraged us to stay together, on pace, "drink in" the natural landscapes, the cuisine, and interact with each other and our Turkish hosts. Kemal was the glue that kept the group together and brought the experience to the level of not just a holiday/vacation but an adventure. I know I will return to Turkiye again.Show more
- Sophie· June 15th, 2025So amazing! Had a fantastic time, our guide Nigel was excellent! The hotel was pretty nice, the food was mixed, some nights was pretty good others weren’t the best. The breakfast was good, however one day I did see mould on one of the baked items which turned me off and the last night when there was obviously more guests at the hotel then other nights and we were last to eat the salad buffet was extremely empty, obviously not the tours issue but maybe something to pass on to the hotel. The views, hikes, picnic lunches and group was amazing and couldn’t fault!Show more

Dave
Asked on February 4th, 2025What would you rate on the hike 1 to 10 from difficulty or easy walk?
- Explore!Operator•Written February 2025
We've graded the walks on our tour of Cappadocia as moderate - you should have a good level of fitness and ideally have prior hiking experience to take part. Some routes have occasional, short sections of steep ascent or descent. All of the treks follow undulating trails and the terrain can be rocky and loose in places, particularly on the ascents and descents.

Asked on February 27th, 2024I'm interested in Cappadocia tour. Do you have a single room option (how much) or do singles share a room (how do you choose people for shared rooms)? When do you start and finish (time) your tour? Can I get more information about instalment payments?
- Explore!Operator•Written February 2024
We have single room options. While travelling alone you can choose either to share a TWIN room with someone else (with another lady) or pay single supplement (£245) and have your own room. The Tour Leader plans to meet the group in the hotel reception at 6pm for the welcome meeting. The trip starts in Goreme and ends after breakfast at the hotel in Goreme on day 8.
