Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival at Santa Cruz Island
A guide meets you at the airport with a personalized greeting and your names on a poster. From there, you'll head to the upper part of Santa Cruz Island for an orientation session. The Charles Darwin Scientific Station comes next, where you'll learn about the giant tortoise breeding and repatriation work happening there. After that, it's a transfer to your hotel in Puerto Ayora for the night.

Isabela Island Wetlands Tour
Early start at 6:20 AM with shared transport heading to Isabela Island. Your guide will be waiting at the Puerto Villamil dock to start the wetlands tour. You'll walk through nine different trails across the wetlands complex south of Isabela, where you can spot land turtles, flamingos, and zarapitos. The trails take you through Estero, Poza Escondida, Poza Redonda, Túnel del Estero, Playa del Amor, Mirador de los Tunos, and Pozas Verdes, each with its own mix of native animals and plants.

- Day 3
Sierra Negra Volcano Hike
Early morning pickup by bus or car for the 30-minute drive to Sierra Negra volcano. The hike takes about 5 hours on terrain that's mostly flat with minimal elevation changes. Inside the crater, you'll see a smaller volcano with active volcanic features, and you can actually feel warmth coming from holes in the ground. After finishing, you're dropped at the Puerto Villamil dock, and you'll arrange your own way back to the hotel from there.

Tunnels and Snorkeling Tour
A boat tour takes you through the famous lava rock tunnels and arches of Isabela, running about 1.5 to 2 hours total. You'll see the unique landscape shapes created by ancient eruptions as the boat navigates different routes. Roca Unión islet is a stop where pelicans, Nazca boobies, blue-footed boobies, and sea lions hang out. After a 45-minute sail to reach the tunnels, you'll snorkel with sea turtles, reef sharks, golden rays, eagle rays, seahorses, and tropical fish before heading back to Puerto Villamil.

Tintoreras Tour and Ferry to Santa Cruz
Starting at 9:00 AM, you'll visit the Tintoreras islets where Galápagos penguins and white-tip sharks are known to gather. During the boat ride around the islets, you'll spot penguins, Galápagos sea wolves, rays, sea turtles, bay sharks, and goldfish, with time for snorkeling included. By 2:00 PM the tour wraps up, then a hotel pickup at 2:30 PM takes you to the ferry for Santa Cruz Island. The ferry ride lasts roughly 2 hours, and you'll arrive in Puerto Ayora for an overnight stay.

Optional Island Tours from Santa Cruz
You'll pick one of three options for the day. The Floreana Tour includes hiking natural rock formations at Asilo de la Paz with views from the hilltop, plus visits to Pirates' Cave and a freshwater stream. Santa Fe Tour involves a panga ride to see sea lion colonies and Opuntia cacti, blue-footed boobies, and two snorkeling sessions (45 minutes each) around the reef with lunch on the boat. The Pinzón Tour is a boat journey of about 1.5 hours to Pinzón Island with a snorkeling opportunity.

Half Bay and Tortuga Bay Tours
Hotel pickup at 8:45 AM starts the day. La Lobadera islet, about 10 minutes from port, is first for snorkeling with sea lions. From there, Punta Estrada is where you'll see blue-footed boobies, seagulls, and pelicans. Next comes Playa de los Perros to spot iguanas among volcanic rocks and sesuvium. The Channel of Love and Shark Channel follow, where blue sharks sometimes appear. Alternatively, you can do a self-guided visit to Tortuga Bay with its 2.5km trail, white sand beach, mangrove swamps, marine iguanas, beach crabs, brown pelicans, white-tip reef sharks, and Galápagos tortoises.

Departure from Santa Cruz
After breakfast, your driver picks you up from the hotel lobby and takes you to the airport based on your flight time. Your tour services end when you arrive at the airport.
