Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Los Angeles to San Luis Obispo

    Start early from Los Angeles and drive to Santa Monica. You can walk out on the pier or browse the farmers market, then have lunch in the area. After that, it's a drive northwest to San Luis Obispo where you'll stop by Chewing Gum Alley and pick up any supplies you need. By evening you'll be at camp for the night.

  2. Day 2

    San Luis Obispo to Santa Cruz

    Head toward Santa Cruz today with a scenic route along the 17-Mile Drive on the Monterey Peninsula. The Pacific Ocean views along the drive are really nice, and you'll have plenty of chances to pull over and take in the coast. After that, you'll set up camp in Santa Cruz for the night.

  3. Day 3

    Santa Cruz to San Francisco

    Leave camp and head to Half Moon Bay for a brief morning orientation. From there, drive into San Francisco where your CEO will walk you through the iconic spots. The afternoon and evening are yours to do what you want, and there's an optional sunset sail under the Golden Gate Bridge if you're interested.

    San Francisco to Yosemite National Park

    Drive from San Francisco toward Yosemite National Park. Along the way, stop at a farmers market in the Central Valley to grab fresh produce. Once in the park, you'll hike to Tuolumne Grove to see the Giant Sequoias, then check out El Capitan and Bridalveil Fall before heading to camp.

  5. Day 5

    Yosemite National Park

    You have the day to explore Yosemite Valley at your own pace. Pick from trails like Lower Yosemite Fall, Swinging Bridge Loop, or try something more challenging like Upper Yosemite Falls if you're up for it. Head to Yosemite Village to see the Ansel Adams gallery, Ahwahnee Museum, and Visitor Center, or take a free park shuttle around.

    This day is all about hiking and exploring in Yosemite. You can head out to Vernal or Nevada Falls, or rent bikes and ride around the valley instead. There are trails for different fitness levels, so pick what works for you. Later, relax by the campfire with your group and trade stories about the day.

    Yosemite to Venice Beach

    You'll leave Yosemite behind today and head south to Venice Beach. The drive takes you through the Central Valley and down to the coast, where you'll arrive as the light gets golden. Take a walk on the beach and have dinner with a view of the ocean after spending days in the forest.

  8. Day 8

    Venice Beach

    Start your morning with a surf lesson where you'll learn the basics of catching waves. After that, the beach is yours. You can lounge on the sand, walk the pier, or grab a bite at beachfront cafes. Surfboard and bike rentals are available if you want to keep exploring the area.

  9. Day 9

    Venice Beach to Joshua Tree National Park

    Leave the coast and head for the desert today. You'll travel through Los Angeles on your way east to Joshua Tree National Park. Once there, you'll climb through the famous rock formations and photograph the Joshua Trees as the sun lights up the landscape.

  10. Day 10

    Joshua Tree to Grand Canyon National Park

    Drive down Route 66 heading east toward the Grand Canyon. You'll arrive in time to catch the sunset over the canyon, which offers some of the best views in the area. Plan to have pizza while watching the sun go down over the landscape.

  11. Day 11

    Grand Canyon National Park

    Spend today getting close to the Grand Canyon by hiking from the South Rim. Choose a trail that fits your ability level so you can venture deeper into the canyon and really see how big it is. Bring plenty of water and take your time on whichever route you pick.

  12. Day 12

    Grand Canyon to Bryce Canyon

    Head from the Grand Canyon to Page, Arizona and Lake Powell. You'll have free time to check out the area, and there's an optional guided tour of Antelope Canyon available if you want to explore tribal lands. Later, hike to Horseshoe Bend for views of the Colorado River far below, then drive to camp in Bryce Canyon.

    Bryce Canyon National Park

    After breakfast, you'll drive into Bryce Canyon National Park. Spend the day exploring at your own pace and checking out the rock formations called hoodoos. Hike trails like Queen's Garden and Navajo Loop to see Thor's Hammer and Wall Street. By evening, the park is known for great stargazing, so find a spot and look up.

    Get an early start and head toward Zion National Park. Stop at Coral Pink Sand Dunes, which is less visited but has a nice scenic overlook of Utah's landscape on the Colorado Plateau. You'll arrive with the afternoon and evening free to explore the area around your camp.

  15. Day 15

    Zion National Park

    Dedicate today to exploring Zion National Park. Take the shuttle into the park and spend the day hiking and seeing the monumental sandstone cliffs in cream, pink, and red tones. You can turn around on any hike whenever you want. Later, relax around the campfire and roast marshmallows with your group.
