Negombo
Your chauffeur guide meets you at the airport and drives you to Negombo, about 20 minutes away. It's a coastal town where you'll check in and have the rest of the day to relax by the water.

Negombo to Anuradhapura
This morning you can either walk through Negombo's famous fish market or take a peaceful 1.5-hour bird-watching boat trip on the Muthurajawela Marsh. After lunch, it's a 5-hour drive to Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage City with ancient ruins. You'll check in once you arrive.

Sigiriya
You'll take a day trip to Polonnaruwa, a historic royal city with numerous temples and religious structures. Walk through the centuries-old ruins and learn about the city's past, then head back to Sigiriya by the afternoon.

Sigiriya
Climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress all the way to the summit and check out the famous Sigiriya damsels' frescoes along the way. You'll walk through the ruined palace, fortifications, and the surrounding gardens, ponds, canals, and fountains. Later in the afternoon, take a rural tour of Hiriwadunna village by jeep or tuk-tuk, then go on a calm catamaran ride on a lake where you might see local wildlife.

In the afternoon, you can wander through downtown markets or walk around Kandy Lake. Then drive about 3.5 hours to Colombo, check in to your hotel, and spend the rest of the day however you like.
