- Day 1
Marrakesh
After landing at Marrakesh International Airport, your driver and guide meet you for the transfer to your hotel. Once you've checked in, it's time to head to Jemaa el-Fna, the main square where you can grab some food and look around the vendor stalls before heading back to rest up for the days ahead.

- Day 2
Marrakesh
Your guided tour starts at Bahia Palace and the nearby Koutoubia Mosque, then moves into the medina's winding alleyways where you'll see the souks including the spice towers at Souk el Attarine and Souk Smata for babouche slippers. In the afternoon you head to Majorelle Gardens with its subtropical plants, courtyards, and fountains to cool off and relax.

Marrakesh to Essaouira
The drive to Essaouira takes about three hours, passing through rolling plains and argan tree forests. Along the way you'll stop at a cooperative where local women produce argan oil so you can see how it's made and pick up some samples before continuing on to the coast.

- Day 4
Essaouira
You have the day to wander through Essaouira's medina on your own, checking out the souks and leafy plazas. The 16th-century Castelo Real of Mogador and the Rabbi Haim Pinto synagogue in the Jewish District are worth seeing, and at the port you can watch traditional wooden boat builders at work. Grab some grilled sardines at the fish auction for lunch or dinner.

Essaouira to Agadir
The coastal drive to Agadir is about 3.5 hours long, taking you through arid regions and lush valleys. You can stop in Imsouane or Taghazout for a break and mint tea, then after checking in at your hotel, take a walk on the beach to see surfers. Agadir Birds Valley wildlife park is nearby, and there's also Agadir Crocodile Park or the Kasbah Agadir Oufella if you want to fit those in before dinner.

Agadir to Taroudant
Your driver takes you to Taroudant, called 'little Marrakesh' because it was once the capital of Souss. Shop and eat at the souks, then climb the fortified ramparts to see the countryside below. The nearby village of Tiout has palm groves and ancient kasbah ruins where you'll have lunch and go on a guided donkey ride around the kasbah before returning to your hotel.

Taroudant
Start by exploring Taroudant's old medina with its walls and gates, shopping at the souks or taking an easy hike to Agadir Tasguent fortress for great views. After that you head to Paradise Valley, a desert oasis with natural pools surrounded by palms and mountains. A 20-minute hike gets you there to swim and cliff-jump in turquoise water, or you can visit Souss Massa National Park instead with its rare bird species and beach access.

Taroudant to Erg Chigaga Desert
You venture into Morocco's remote Erg Chigaga desert in Iriqui National Park, traveling off-road by Jeep through Lake Iriqui, a dried-up salt lake, to reach the sand dunes. Tonight you stay at a luxury glamping camp under the desert stars.

- Day 9
Erg Chigaga Desert
Today you experience nomadic life with Berber guides across the Wild Regs desert plateaus, helping search for grazing lands and water and assisting with food preparation. You feed camels and learn traditional camel wool carpet weaving over wood fires, then take a camel ride through the dunes just before sunset to see the landscape in red and gold light. Sandboarding down the dunes is another option if you want an adrenaline rush.

Your guide takes you to Zagora with stops along the way. You explore the desert village of Mhamid El Ghizlane and its oasis, then visit Tamegroute to see the Koranic School and learn about traditional green pottery-making using ancient techniques. By late afternoon you're in Zagora where you can walk by the Draa River or through the giant palm grove with over 30 varieties of dates. If it's Sunday or Wednesday, the traditional souk is worth checking out.

The drive to Ouarzazate takes about 2.5 hours through the Draa Valley and across the Tizi N'Tinifift Pass with sweeping views and lush palmeries. Once there, head to Taourirt Kasbah for panoramic views and to see the prayer room, stucco, and traditional ceiling. You can wander through backstreet shops in the kasbah village, see the old Mellah and souks, or tour Atlas Film Studios to check out props and sets from films shot in the region.

Ouarzazate to Marrakesh
The drive back to Marrakesh takes you through the Tizi n'Tichka Pass and High Atlas mountains with sweeping vistas of the Atlas peaks. You stop at Aït Benhaddou, Morocco's most famous kasbah and a UNESCO World Heritage Site from the 11th century, to explore its historical alleys, passageways, and markets. Once back in Marrakesh, settle in and head to Jemaa el-Fna for a final meal and shopping.
