Itinerary

Entebbe
Your driver and guide will be waiting for you when you land at Entebbe International Airport. From there, it's a straightforward transfer to your hotel where you'll settle in for the night and get some rest after your flight.

Entebbe to Jinja
After breakfast, you'll head toward Jinja and stop at Mabira Forest for a nature walk through the trees. If you're interested, there's optional canopy ziplining available. Once you reach Jinja, check into your hotel and grab lunch. The afternoon brings horseback riding with views looking out over the Nile River. Later that evening, you'll go flat tubing on the water to catch the sunset before heading back for dinner.

Jinja
Start the day with breakfast, then head out on quad bikes to explore the river banks and the source of the Nile on supervised circuits. Back at the hotel, you'll have lunch and time to relax. When evening comes around, take a sunset cruise on the Nile River before returning to your lodging.

Jinja to Murchison Falls National Park
The drive to Murchison Falls National Park takes about 8 to 9 hours, so you'll want to settle in. Along the way, there's a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you can do some rhino tracking. Lunch happens in Masindi Town, then you continue on to the park. Once there, you'll visit the top of the falls where the Nile narrows dramatically before checking into your lodge.

Murchison Falls National Park
Get up early for a wildlife safari on the northern bank of the Nile where elephants, lions, giraffes, and buffalo roam. You'll return to the lodge for breakfast, then have time to rest and eat lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise upstream on the Victoria Nile to reach the base of the falls. You'll spot hippos, crocodiles, and lots of bird species before heading back to your lodge.

Murchison Falls to Fort Portal
After breakfast, you'll drive to Fort Portal, a journey of about 6 hours through green countryside with traditional homesteads and tea plantations along the way. Stop for lunch in Fort Portal, then head to your hotel for the evening and settle in for the night.

Fort Portal
Following an early breakfast, walk through Bigodi Swamp where around 200 bird species and 8 primate species live, including the great blue Turaco bird. Drive back to Fort Portal for lunch. Later, visit the Toro Kingdom palace to learn about the customs and traditions of the Batoro people.

Fort Portal to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Start with breakfast and head to Amabere ga nyina mwiru caves, a historic site about 10km from Fort Portal for a cultural tour. Then you'll go to Semuliki National Park for a guided nature walk looking for primates and birds, followed by a visit to Sempaya hot springs. After a picnic lunch in the park, you'll drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park with views of the Rwenzori Mountains along the way.

- Day 9
Queen Elizabeth National Park
An early morning wildlife safari game drive takes you out to spot lions, leopards, buffalo, elephants, and other animals with the Rwenzori Mountains in the background. Return to the lodge for lunch and rest. Then take a 2 to 3-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward, where you'll see lots of hippos and over 600 bird species.

- Day 10
Ishasha Sector
After breakfast, drive south to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for tree-climbing lions that rest in the branches. You'll have wildlife viewing opportunities during the drive and arrive in time for lunch. In the evening, go for a game drive to search for the tree-climbing lions and other wildlife in the area.

- Day 11
Ishasha to Lake Mburo National Park
Following breakfast, depart for Lake Mburo National Park with a stop at Kalinzu Forest along the way. There you'll do a guided 2 to 3-hour nature walk to see primates and bird species. Then continue to Lake Mburo National Park and check into your lodge in the afternoon.

Lake Mburo National Park to Kampala
After breakfast, take a guided wildlife safari walk in Lake Mburo National Park with an armed ranger. You might see zebras grazing alongside long-horned Ankole cattle, and if you start early, possibly hyenas in their cave. Return for lunch, then drive back to Kampala with a stop at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers to see traditional drum-making, plus a photo break at the equator.
