Kathmandu
You'll arrive in Kathmandu and Trek Mania Nepal will greet you at the airport with a flower garland before transferring you to your hotel. After settling in, you can meet with the trekking leader at the office to go over details about the trek ahead.

Kathmandu
Following breakfast, you'll get your gear ready while the team handles permit paperwork. If you have downtime, head out on your own to walk around Kathmandu and check out local culture and different sights around the city.

Kathmandu to Machhakhola
Early morning you'll board a deluxe bus and travel through villages and valleys along the Trishuli River and Budi Gandaki River. The drive takes you alongside local people and riverside views, eventually reaching Machhakhola for the night (approximately 6-7 hours of travel).

Machhakhola to Jagat
The trek starts through trails bordered by marijuana plants leading to Khorlabesi, then drops into the Budhi Gandaki River ravine on ancient yak routes. You'll pass through Tatopani and Dovan with views of Manaslu ahead, continue via Yaruphant, and reach Jagat at the Manaslu Conservation Area Project checkpoint (about 5-6 hours trekking).

Jagat to Deng
After crossing a rocky bluff to Salleri, the trek follows the west side of the Budhi Gandaki river with Shringi Himal and Langju Himal in view. You'll pass through Sirdibas and Ghatte Khola with chortens and Buddhist monasteries, cross through subtropical forest and Pewa village via a suspension bridge, finally arriving at Deng (approximately 6 hours).

Deng to Namrung
You'll trek through Rana village and tackle the steep climb at Bihi Phedi before descending to Ghap. Stop at Serang monastery to see Buddhist paintings and carvings, pass through farm fields and chortens, then hike through a forest with lichens and pines to reach Namrung, known locally as the 'Nepali version of Tibet' for its Tibetan culture (about 5-6 hours).

Namrung to Lho
The trail goes through farming villages and monasteries including Banjam with its terraced fields and views of Ganesh Himal and glaciers. You'll see Lihi with a small monastery and three-level chorten, pass Hinang Monastery and Sho with its large prayer wheel, cross the river valley, and arrive at Lho with strong views of Manaslu ranges (approximately 6 hours).

Lho to Samagaon
Trek through alpine forests on old yak routes with glimpses of Ngadi Chuli ridge and several ancient monastery complexes including Hongsangbu Monastery. You'll reach Shyala in around 2 hours where the views get even better, pass an icy river past the junction to Pungyen monastery, and end at Samagaon (about 6-7 hours total).

- Day 9
Samagaon (day trip to Pungyen Gompa)
This is a day trip from Samagaon to Pungyen Gompa. Head northwest toward Pungyen Gompa following small chortens, and note that the climb is easier than the descent back. By the 3rd chorten, altitude starts to affect you so pace yourself carefully. The day shows Himalchuli, Shringi Himal, Ngadi Chuli and Manaslu, plus Pungyen Tal's green lake and dead glaciers (full day hike).

Samagaon to Samdo
You'll trek from Samagaon to Samdo, ascending through snowy Himalayan sections. Visit Birendra Tal, a turquoise glacial lake named after late king Birendra, then continue past Mani walls overlooking Samdo Peak. Climb slowly due to altitude and if symptoms appear, consider staying extra days for acclimatization (approximately 5-6 hours).

- Day 11
Samdo to Dharamsala (Larkya Phedi)
The trek heads to Dharamsala (Larkya Phedi) with careful attention to your breathing and altitude adjustment. You'll pass through the old market of Larkya Bazaar, then climb along a trail marked by chortens and mani walls through juniper bushes and glaciers before reaching the exposed sections and Larkya Phedi. Make sure you're fully acclimatized before tackling the pass tomorrow (about 5-6 hours).

Larkya Phedi to Bimthang (crossing Larkya La Pass)
This is the trek's main highlight day. Pack plenty of food and water before heading to Larkya La Pass because this is physically demanding work. From the start, mountains and glaciers dominate as you climb over moraine with views of Larkya glacier, passing chortens and prayer flags. At the pass, you'll see North Manaslu, Syacha glacier, green lakes, snowfields of Kang Guru and Annapurna spires. Descend to Bimthang quickly due to altitude (approximately 7-8 hours).

Bimthang to Dharapani
Even after descending from Larkya La Pass, the views stay impressive. Trek through forests of rhododendron, pine, oak and birch with peaks and glaciers of Manaslu in view. Larkya glacier and Manaslu's north face stay prominent throughout. Most of the day goes through forest, including crossing a suspension bridge over the Dudh Khola River, with Kang Guru's icy buttresses visible. End at Dharapani (approximately 6-7 hours).

Dharapani to Besisahar to Kathmandu
From Dharapani, you'll take a local jeep down to Besisahar, then drive back to Kathmandu on the same route you came in on. This marks the end of your Manaslu Circuit Trek adventure (approximately 6-7 hours of driving).
