Itinerary
- Day 1
Vienna
You'll land at Vienna airport and head to your hotel to get settled. This gives you time to drop off luggage, freshen up, and get oriented before the tour really begins.
- Day 2
Vienna
Start with a guided walking tour through Vienna's old town, then spend time on your own at Schönbrunn Palace to wander the grounds and rooms at your own pace. Later, take a scenic drive along the ring road to see the city's main landmarks and architecture from the car.

Vienna to Durnstein
Drive toward Durnstein with a guided stop in Krems to explore a bit, then board a boat that cruises through the Wachau valley between Spitz and Durnstein. After checking into your hotel, walk around town to get a feel for the place and grab dinner somewhere local.

Spitz
Join a private hike starting around Spitz that takes you toward Aggstein Castle, with stops to taste local wines along the way. After working up an appetite, you'll walk through either Weissenkirchen or Spitz village, checking out the shops and architecture at a relaxed pace.

Durnstein to Salzburg
Transfer to Salzburg, which takes about 3 hours by car. Once you arrive and check in, head up to Hohensalzburg Fortress on your own time using the funicular or walking if you prefer the hike. The views from up there are worth the effort.

Berchtesgaden
Take a guided city tour covering Mirabell Palace, the Mozarteum, Mozart's Residence, Staatsbrücke, the Festival Houses, St. Peter's Church, and Salzburg Cathedral. In the afternoon, go on a 4-hour driving tour into the Bavarian mountains around Berchtesgaden, with the option to visit Eagle's Nest if you're going during May through October.

Hallstatt
Spend the day on a guided visit to Hallstatt, which is one of those charming lakeside villages you see in photos. You'll drive through the Salzkammergut Lake District, tour the village museum, and see Mühlbach Waterfalls. There's an optional evening concert if you want live music, and you'll head back to Salzburg by the end of the day.
