Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City

    Your guide meets you at Tan Son Nhat airport and drives you to your hotel. Take the rest of the day to rest up after traveling.

  2. Day 2

    Ho Chi Minh City & Cu Chi Tunnel

    After breakfast, you'll visit Independence Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Central Post Office in Ho Chi Minh City. The War Remnants Museum gives you context on the Indochina wars. Later you head by bus to Cu Chi Tunnels (about 1.5 hours away). There you walk through the tunnel system and see where people lived, cooked, made weapons, and treated the wounded. You'll have tea and cassava, plus the option to shoot a real gun if interested.

  3. Day 3

    Mekong Delta Tour

    A driver picks you up and takes you to My Tho. You'll see the Vinh Trang pagoda from the 1800s, then board a sampan to cruise past Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise islands. On Unicorn Island you walk through orchards, taste tropical fruits, and hear traditional folk music. After exploring a family bee farm and a coconut candy workshop, lunch happens. Then you can either bike through Tan Thach village to meet people and see daily life, or relax in hammocks. You're back in Ho Chi Minh City by evening.

  4. Day 4

    Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap

    Breakfast is at your hotel. You have free time until your driver arrives for the transfer to Tan Son Nhat for your flight to Siem Reap. After landing, you check into your hotel and the rest of the day is open.

  5. Day 5

    Angkor Complex Temple Tour

    You explore Angkor Thom complex starting with Bayon temple and Ta Prohm temple (from Tomb Raider). Lunch at a local restaurant inside the complex with traditional Cambodian food. Then you see the massive Angkor Wat temple. By evening you head to Phnom Bakheng for sunset from the top (note it has a 300-person limit during peak times). You're back in town around 6:30 pm.

    Eastern Angkor Temples

    The morning starts at Pre Rup Temple, then you see Banteay Srei, the pink temple known as 'The Citadel of Women'. Lunch comes at a nearby restaurant with curries, soups, and stir-fries. Your afternoon includes East Mebon, Ta Som, and Preah Khan temples. Each one was built at different times for different reasons, and the stonework in the walls is worth looking at closely. An air-conditioned ride back to the city happens around 4:00 pm.

For tours departing after December 7th, 2025, a minimum payment of 30% is required to confirm your booking with Asia Great Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 20 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
