  Festive Season on the Blue Danube by Avalon Waterways was an amazing. The intinerary, the service and the food was excellent. I highly recommend it.

  Everything was good or excellent. except that Vienna was devoted too short a time, and a tour Prague Castle Compound included a walking portion that, in my opinion was not entirely appropriate for some old age fellows.

  We were looked after very well. It was unfortunate, we had mechanical problem. Tony over came the problem by organising coaches and taking us out on excursions as best as possible. In Prague, Helena was our tour guide, we had many many tour guides, but none, none came close to the outstanding quality as Helena. Not only was she very informative, but she made it very enjoyable to be with. Best tour guide you could find in all of Prague. There was emotion in her eyes when we came to some monuments in Czech history, you just dont get that sort of passion in tour guide books. Thank you

  We didnt have low water issues. We loved the Danube cruise. Did alot on our own and saved 1000s. Avalon exceeded expectations. Only peculiar events were when docked aside other river boats. No big deal as we only spent nights on board. Views were incredible. If youre a history buff, you shouldnt miss the Danube from Buda Pesh to Prague.

  Despite the conditions of the river and sometimes weather most things we enjoyed. Sometimes a little rushed going from a meal to a scheduled tour. Free time in most places pretty limited. Some items at breakfast not hot enough. Food presented was on the whole great. Fewer desserts of ice cream and whipped mousses would have been nice. A great selection of regional wines.
