Itinerary

Tirana to Kruja to Durres
Your tour leader picks you up from your Tirana hotel early in the morning to head to Kruja, the historical town known for its resistance during the 15th century. You'll walk through the narrow streets of the Medieval Old Bazaar, one of the Balkans' largest and oldest markets, and then climb up to the 5th-century castle sitting on the rocky hilltop. Your guide shows you the hidden paths that locals used to escape during the old sieges, which gives you a real sense of the town's history. After that, you head to Durres where you'll see the Roman amphitheater, various ruins, and the Venetian Tower. By late afternoon, grab a coffee at the seaside promenade and take in the views before heading back to Tirana for the evening.
