Itinerary
- Day 1
Luxor to Edfu to Kom Ombo
A driver picks you up from your hotel in Luxor early in the morning for the drive to Edfu. Once there, you'll walk through the Temple of Edfu, which is one of Egypt's best-preserved temples and was built to honor Horus. The temple has some really impressive preserved reliefs and hieroglyphics. After spending a couple hours here, you head back to the car and continue south to Kom Ombo. This temple sits right on the Nile and has an interesting layout because it's actually two temples in one space, with separate sections dedicated to Haroeris and Sobek. You can walk around both halves and see how they're designed differently. By late afternoon, you'll return to Luxor after exploring both sites.
Included Activities
