- Day 1
Arrival in La Paz
Landing at La Paz Airport, you'll head to your hotel and settle in for the day. Since the city sits at high altitude (about 3,640 meters/11,940 feet), take things slowly. Drink plenty of water, eat light meals, skip alcohol, and let your body adjust. Rest is your main activity today.

- Day 2
Tiwanaku
You'll leave at 8 am for a 1.5-hour drive to Tiwanaku, an ancient pre-Columbian archaeological site. The ruins show you how advanced this civilization was in pottery, astronomy, and mathematics. The guide will walk you through the site and explain how it compares to later Inca achievements. You're back in La Paz by around 4 pm.

La Paz
This day is completely yours to explore La Paz on your own terms. Walk through the old town, check out the markets, and see the colonial architecture scattered throughout the city. There's no set itinerary, so you move at your own pace and discover what interests you.

La Paz to Copacabana
After checking out, you'll make your way to the bus station for a 3-hour trip to Copacabana on Lake Titicaca's shore. Once you're settled at your accommodation, a guided hike starts at 2:30 pm to Kasanani Hill, an Inca site used for astronomical observations. Along the way you'll visit the Intikala temple with its carved stone seats, the Cathedral of the Virgin of Copacabana, and reach the summit for lake views before heading back for dinner.

- Day 5
Isla del Sol
An 8 am boat takes you north to Isla del Sol, arriving at Challapampa at 10:30 am. You'll visit the Gold Museum, hike 30 minutes to Inca Chincana Ruins, and see the Table of Stone and Sacred Rock where legend says Manco Capac and Mama Occlo departed to found Cusco. After lunch at the port, you boat south to Yumani, hike through Inca ruins passing three sacred springs, visit traditional totora reed boats, and watch sunset from the summit before returning.

Isla del Sol to Uyuni
After breakfast, you hike down a different route to the port, passing the Polkokaina palace ruins and Temple of the Sun. Back in Copacabana by 11:30 am, you catch a bus to La Paz (about 3 hours), then board an overnight bus heading to Uyuni.

- Day 7
Salar de Uyuni Begins
You arrive in Uyuni and have breakfast before the overland adventure starts. In the afternoon, you drive to Colchani village at the entrance of the Salar de Uyuni salt flat. After lunch at a restaurant built from salt, you board a 4WD jeep with your driver and support staff. The vast salt flat stretches before you with otherworldly colors and terrain. Tonight you stay at a Salt Hostel where walls and some beds are built from salt bricks.

High Plateau & Altiplano
Leaving the salt flat, you head into the desert and High Plateau. Early on you see the canyon of River Anaconda. By afternoon, you're in the Siloli desert where wind and rain carved strange volcanic rock formations. You reach Laguna Escondida (also called Laguna Negra) by lunchtime and stay at a communal hostel, basic but clean and genuinely part of the local experience.

Border Crossing
An early start takes you deeper into the desert and Puna as elevation steadily increases. You'll see multiple lagoons with wildlife, snow-capped mountains, volcanoes, and Altiplanic plains. Lunch happens at a hot springs location. The afternoon brings you to Sol de Mañana Geysers and then Laguna Colorada, where roughly 30,000 flamingos nest annually. You reach 4,500 meters (14,760 feet) today. After crossing into Chile at Hito Cajon, you arrive in San Pedro de Atacama and have a free evening.

Geysers del Tatio
A pickup between 4:30-5:00 am gets you to Geysers del Tatio at 4,230 meters (13,878 feet) in the world's driest and highest desert. A 1.5-hour drive through the Andes brings you to the geothermal site where otherworldly geysers, fumaroles, and steaming craters show the region's volcanic activity. You eat breakfast while viewing the geothermic field. On the return, you stop briefly at Machuca Village and arrive back around midday.

San Pedro de Atacama to Salta
After checking out, you head to the bus station for a long but interesting ride to Salta, Argentina. The journey takes most of the day. Once you arrive in the afternoon, find your way to the hostel, check in, and spend a free evening settling in.
- Day 13
Cafayate & Villages Day Tour
A guided tour departs at 7:30-7:50 am heading south on Route 68. You pass through small towns like Cerrillos, La Merced, El Carril, Cnel. Moldes, and La Viña, an agricultural area known for tobacco. After visiting Alemania village, you enter Cafayate Gorge where millions of years of erosion created dramatic formations like Devil's Throat, Amphitheater, The Monk, The Castles, and others. In Cafayate town you tour a winery and taste torrontés wine, the region's specialty. The return route through the gorge shows different landscapes. Total time is about 10 hours.

Salta
After breakfast you have a free day to walk around this beautiful colonial city and soak in its charm. The evening is a good time to visit a peña, a traditional folk music venue where you can experience local culture and music. Several options are available throughout the city.

Salta to Buenos Aires
After breakfast and checking out, you'll make your own way to the bus station in the afternoon. An overnight bus takes you to Buenos Aires, so get comfortable for the night journey ahead.

Arrival in Buenos Aires
You arrive in Buenos Aires and head to your accommodation on your own. After checking in, the rest of the day is free to rest from your travels and start exploring the city whenever you're ready.


- Day 17
Buenos Aires City Tour
After breakfast, a 9:00 am guided city tour shows you Buenos Aires' highlights. You'll see the National Congress, Metropolitan Cathedral, Government House at May Square, and the iconic Colon Theater, one of Latin America's most important opera houses. The tour takes you through San Telmo where tango fills bars and restaurants, colorful La Boca with its immigrant heritage and artist community, Palermo's mix of architecture and green spaces, and La Recoleta, famous for its elegant cemetery. If you prefer something active, a bike tour is available at the same time with no extra cost. The whole experience runs about 3 to 3.5 hours.

You have a free day to explore Buenos Aires however you like. Maybe venture to Tigre in the city outskirts. Late evening brings the Executive Dinner Show at Madero Tango, where you'll taste the famous Bife de Chorizo Argentino while watching one of the best tango performances. The experience includes a three-course dinner with four menu options featuring the signature steak, plus an additional gastronomic menu, and complimentary national wine, champagne, water, soda, and beer. You'll sit at round tables with other guests in lateral rows, and hotel transfers are included.
