- Day 1
Vientiane
You'll arrive in Vientiane and check into your 3-star hotel in the city center. Check-in is at 2 PM, so you'll have the afternoon and evening to walk around, get a feel for the local neighborhoods, and pick up something to eat. This is a good time to orient yourself and see what's nearby your hotel without any structured plans.

Vientiane
The guided tour starts at 8:30 am, so grab breakfast early at your hotel. You'll head to Wat Sisaket, which is the oldest temple in Laos, followed by Wat Prakeo and the Patuxay Monument. Later in the afternoon, you'll take a leisurely walk along the Mekong River to watch the sunset before heading back to your hotel. This covers most of Vientiane's main cultural sites in one day.

Nam Ngum - Vientiane
After breakfast, you'll drive to Nam Ngum reservoir and stop at Ban Keun to see the salt extraction process. Then you'll board a long-tail boat to cruise through fishing villages spread across several islets, and you'll walk around to see how local fishermen live and work. You'll get back to Vientiane in the late evening with some free time to relax or grab dinner.

Vientiane to Luang Prabang
A car will pick you up for your transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Luang Prabang. Once you land, you'll be met and driven to your hotel. The rest of your day is unscheduled, so you can either explore the city on foot or settle in at your hotel and rest after traveling.

- Day 5
Luang Prabang
Your guided tour begins at 8:30 am with the Royal Palace Museum as your first stop. Then you'll cycle through the city to visit Wat Xiengthong, Wat Visoun, and Wat Aham temples. By late morning or early afternoon, you'll climb Mount Phousi to see the gilded stupa and get views across the city. In the evening, you'll check out the Night Market, then you have free time to do whatever you'd like back in the city.

Luang Prabang
You'll take a private boat up the Mekong River to Pak Ou Caves, which are filled with thousands of gold-covered Buddha statues left by visitors over the years. After returning to Luang Prabang, you can choose to visit Ban Phanom village to see traditional hand weaving or stay at your hotel. That evening, you're free to wander around the city on foot or by bicycle, get a massage or spa treatment, or just relax by the river.
