  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Kathmandu

    Land at Tribhuwan International Airport where a representative meets you at arrivals. After settling into your hotel in Kathmandu, you can either rest or head to the office to get details about the trek ahead. Later in the evening, join the welcome dinner with the group.

  2. Day 2

    Kathmandu to Lukla to Chhutang

    An early morning scenic flight takes you from Kathmandu to Lukla, your entry point to the Everest region. From there, the actual trekking begins through dense forest below the Kalo Himal Ridge. The trail has several branches, so staying together as a group is important. Your trek concludes at Chhutang for the night.

  3. Day 3

    Chhutang to Tuli Kharka

    The trail ascends gradually at first, then becomes steeper as you work towards Zatrawala Pass at 4,600 meters/15,092 feet. During the climb, you'll see Numbur Himal, Kongdi Ri, and Karyolang Peak spread across the landscape. Once you reach the pass, the route descends down to Tuli Kharka where you'll stay.

  4. Day 4

    Tuli Kharka to Kothe

    You'll trek through dense forests with a mix of uphill and downhill sections, walking past rhododendron, oak, pine, and juniper trees. Mera Peak and several snow-capped peaks come into view as you move forward. Later, the trail drops steeply to the Hinku River, then climbs back up to reach Kothe.

  5. Day 5

    Kothe to Thangnak

    Following the Hinku River ridge towards Gondishung, you'll pass through Lungsumgba Gompa where impressive rock carvings of Mera Peak are carved into the stone. After that, an easier trail takes you to Thangnak, a summer grazing area that has shops and tea houses available.

  6. Day 6

    Thangnak to Khare

    You'll cross over lateral moraine towards Hinku Nup and Shar Glaciers. A steep climb then brings you to Khare, and from here the Northern Face of Mera Peak comes into full view. This location gives you a chance to explore and let your body adjust to the altitude.

  7. Day 7

    Rest Day at Khare

    Today is a rest day at Khare, which is important for altitude acclimatization. The sherpa team goes through climbing gear carefully and makes sure everything is ready for the next phase. You can walk around the surrounding area to continue adjusting to the higher elevation.

  8. Day 8

    Khare to Mera Peak High Camp

    After crossing Mera La Pass, the route follows a rocky trail that often has snow on it, leading to Mera Peak High Camp. The sherpa team sets up your camp and checks both your health and gear. From this vantage point, Everest, Makalu, Nuptse, Cho Oyu, Baruntse, and Chamlang all come into view.

    Mera Peak Summit

    An early start gets you moving before sunrise for the summit push. With proper acclimatization and equipment, you'll reach the summit before noon and take in views of the world's tallest peaks. The descent follows the same route back down, and you'll return to Khare to sleep.

  10. Day 10

    Khare to Kothe

    After your summit success, the descent from Khare begins, passing through Thangnak and heading towards Kothe. Most of this day is downhill as you move from high altitude into lush sub-tropical forest filled with rhododendron, oak, pine, and birch trees.

  11. Day 11

    Kothe to Tuli Kharka

    From Kothe, you'll trek uphill through dense rhododendron forests on the way to Tuli Kharka. The route offers views of Mera North, Mera Central, and the south face of Mera Peak throughout the day.

    Tuli Kharka to Lukla

    I recently completed the Annapurna Circuit trek with Sherpa Expedition, guided by Ramesh, and I can’t recommend them enough! Ramesh is incredibly experienced, caring, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire journey.     We recently completed the Manaslu Circuit Trek with Sherpa Expedition and Trekking, and it was truly one of the best experiences of our lives! Our guide Dawa Sherpa was incredible – he may be small in size, but he has a huge heart! So kind, attentive, and always looking out for us every single step of the way. He even helped carry our backpack on the challenging Larke La Pass day – we will never forget that! Our porter Hari was also wonderful – always smiling and so supportive throughout the trek. Together, they made us feel safe, cared for, and completely at ease in the mountains. The teahouses they arranged for us were excellent – clean, comfortable, and with delicious food. Everything was so well organized from start to finish. We didn’t have to worry about anything – just enjoy the stunning scenery and the journey. We highly recommend Sherpa Expedition and Trekking to anyone planning a trek in Nepal. Thank you Dawa, Hari, and the entire team for such a memorable adventure. We hope to trek with you again soon!

    Trekking to Everest Base Camp was the adventure of a lifetime, and I couldn’t have asked for a better partner than Sherpa Travel Agency. My guide, Frunzi, was incredibly kind, attentive, and supportive—always adjusting the pace to suit me and making sure I was safe and well every step of the way. Together with Bala, our strong and cheerful porter, they helped me reach the base camp successfully and with confidence. The agency provided the best possible accommodations in the mountains, with great vegetarian meal options throughout the trek. Ram, the agency owner, stayed in constant contact and generously offered high-quality gear (sleeping bag, poles, and down jacket) free of charge. Every detail was thoughtfully handled, and I wholeheartedly recommend this tour for anyone taking on this incredible journey.

  • Payment information
    • For any tour departing before January 18th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after January 18th, 2026, a minimum payment of 50% is required to confirm your booking with Sherpa Expedition Teams. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
