Itinerary
- Day 1
Casablanca to Marrakech
Your driver picks you up from your hotel, riad, or the airport in Casablanca and heads toward Marrakech, driving through Berrechid and Settat where you'll see nice landscapes along the route. Once you arrive, you'll be dropped at your accommodation. Later that day, you'll do some sightseeing around the city, checking out El Koutoubia, the Saadian Tombs, Menara, Majorelle Garden, and the area around Jemaa el-Fna square.

Marrakech to Dades Valley
An early start takes you east from Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains with several stops for photos and to take in the views. After crossing the Tizi Ntichka pass, you'll reach the UNESCO-listed Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou for a look around. You'll have lunch at your own pace, then continue on through Ouarzazate, Skoura Oasis, and Klaa Mgouna in the Valley of Roses before driving along the Dades River past fortified kasbahs. You arrive at your hotel in Boumalne Dades by late afternoon.

Dades Valley to Merzouga
After breakfast, you drive along the Road of 1001 Kasbahs to the oasis of Tighir, then follow the river to Todgha for a walk under palm trees and through Todgha Gorges. Lunch is on your own schedule, and afterward you head to Rissani, which is known for its dates market and the ancient Sahara caravan routes that ran through it. From there, you drive through rocky desert landscape to reach Merzouga, where you'll ride camels across the color-changing sand dunes at sunset. You arrive at your desert camp in the evening and enjoy a Moroccan dinner under the stars along with traditional drum entertainment from your nomad hosts.

Merzouga to Ouarzazate
You'll wake early to watch the sunrise over the desert, then ride camels back to the hotel for a shower and breakfast (the exact timing depends on which camp type you're staying at). After that, you head back toward Ouarzazate via a different route, passing through the Tafilalet Palm Grove and the village of Rissani, then through Alnif where you join the road crossing the Anti-Atlas mountains. You stop in Klaat M'Gouna to have a meal and rest for a bit, then continue over the High Atlas mountains before arriving in Ouarzazate for the night.

Ouarzazate to Marrakech
Following breakfast, you have the morning and early afternoon free to see Ouarzazate on your own. If you're interested, you can check out Taourirt Kasbah or the Atlas Film Studios, which earned the nickname the Hollywood of the desert. In the early afternoon, you'll get a transfer back to Marrakech.

Marrakech
After breakfast, you have the entire day to explore Marrakech at your own pace. The area has plenty to see if you want, including the Gardens of the Menara, Saadian Tombs, the Palace of the Bay, La Koutobia, and Jemaa El-Fna. You'll have dinner and spend the night at your hotel.

Marrakech Departure
When you're ready, you'll get a transfer to either Marrakech or Casablanca airport, finishing up your 7-day tour through Morocco's imperial cities and Sahara Desert.
