- JAJennifer Capobres· November 27th, 2023Mr Lamp Fall (Mamadou Diagne) & his driver Doudou were both simply amazing guides. I felt very safe with them. The tour itself was fantastic - the itinerary was great! My only recommendation was to add Djouj Bird Sanctuary (which we did, per Mr Fall's recommendation & per my request as well), I realize that portion is seasonal. I also recommend making it very clear that the tour Starts in Dakar but ENDS in Saly- it was a little confusing because there was a discrepancy between what the itinerary said versus the actual VOUCHER. Also, a faster responsiveness from both Tour Radar and/or the tour operator would definitely make a positive difference! I also suggest adding on the "Things You Must Know list" = is to add that most places we went for shopping do NOT take credit cards so to bring lots of CASH (for shoppers) & small change as many merchants seemed to be short on change. Also to bring personal toilet paper as many public bathrooms do not have it. Otherwise, the tour overall was FANTASTIC & I highly recommend it!!Show more

The tour includes hotel stays, with one exception: a unique overnight experience in the desert at Lompoul. The "Lodge de Lompoul" is a desert lodge rather than a traditional hotel. It offers a more rustic charm, providing an authentic desert experience. However, the lodge in Lompoul is considered one of the best in the area.

Traveler•Written February 2025I am a seasoned traveler and have some basic requirements for comfortable travel: (1) private room with comfortable bed, attached bathroom and western style toilet, (2) hot water shower facilities as I have to shower every morning, (3) air conditioner or fans to cool the room as I understand Senegal is hot and humid year around, (4) electrical outlets in the room to charge my phone and shaver. Could you clarify if the tour hotels and the desert lodge will meet these requirements?

Regarding your specific requests: Private rooms with attached bathrooms meeting western-style toilets. Hotels in major cities will have air conditioning. The desert lodge in Lompoul does not have air conditioning. All rooms will have electrical outlets suitable for charging devices. All hotel accommodations will provide hot water for showers, except the desert lodge in Lompoul. The hotels selected are basic accommodations. If you would like to upgrade to a higher category of hotel, please let us know in advance.
