Negombo
You'll be picked up at the airport and driven to Negombo, which sits just 10km away. It's a quiet beach town where you'll get to walk through a local fishing village and have some free time on the beach before heading to your hotel to settle in.

Negombo to Kandy
After breakfast, you'll travel about 2 hours 15 minutes to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to see a large group of elephants in their natural setting. Later that evening, you'll head to Kandy and catch a traditional Kandyan Cultural Dance performance before staying overnight there.

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
Following breakfast, you'll take a city tour of Kandy visiting the Temple of the Tooth and the Royal Botanical Garden. From there, you'll drive to Nuwara Eliya, stopping along the way to see Ramboda Waterfall and a tea factory. You'll spend the night in this cooler mountain area, which has a colonial feel and is sometimes called 'Little England'.

Nuwara Eliya to Ella
After breakfast, you'll explore Nuwara Eliya by visiting Lake Gregory, Seetha Amman Temple, and Hakgala Botanical Garden. Then you'll travel about 1 hour 45 minutes to Ella, a mountain village where you can see Ella Gap, Ravana Ella Falls, Little Adam's Peak, and Bambaragala Peak with their great views.

Ella to Mirissa
You'll start early with a jeep safari at Yala National Park where you might see deer, peacocks, elephants, and wild bison, and if you're fortunate, you could spot leopards or bears. After the safari, you'll visit Tissamaharama to see Raja Maha Vihara temple and Tissa Lake. In the afternoon, you'll head to Mirissa for beach time and your overnight stay.

Mirissa to Galle
Your morning offers an early whale watching tour at Mirissa, or you can just relax on the beach if that's what you prefer. Then you'll drive about 1 hour 10 minutes to Galle, where you'll find a famous 17th-century Dutch Fort with colonial architecture, shops, and restaurants. You'll have an afternoon city tour that includes the fort and the lighthouse.
