- Day 1
Porto
You'll arrive in Porto today with the afternoon and early evening to yourself. Wander through the Ribeira district if you're up for it, checking out those narrow medieval alleys and hidden courtyards that wind through the neighborhood. The hilltop cathedral's worth the climb for the views across the Douro River, or you can just walk along the riverfront and soak it in. Meet the group later for a welcome dinner to kick things off.

Ponte de Lima - Santiago de Compostela
Head north by luxury minicoach toward Viana do Castelo, where you'll see the Gil Eannes ship and then work your way up to the Santuário de Santa Luzia for those Atlantic views from the hilltop. After that, you're off to Ponte de Lima to walk around one of Portugal's oldest towns and check out the ancient Roman bridge and historic centre. Then it's into Spain and on to Santiago de Compostela for a two-night stay.

Santiago de Compostela
A local guide takes you through Santiago de Compostela on foot, walking those arcaded medieval streets and learning about the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage while you check out the Cathedral's Baroque spires. The afternoon is yours to do what you want, so head into the cathedral if you haven't yet or keep exploring. Pick a local restaurant for dinner on your own tonight.

Santiago de Compostela to León
Visit Castillo de los Templarios this morning, a medieval fortress from 1178 that once protected pilgrims heading to Santiago. Cross the drawbridge and walk around the ancient stone walls. Later, you'll head into northern Castilla and arrive in León, settling into an 11th-century monastery-turned-hotel right in the historic centre. Dinner is on you tonight, so explore local tapas bars around town.

León
Start the day with a walking tour through León's historic centre, visiting the Roman walls, the Romanesque Basilica de San Isidoro, and Casa de los Botines designed by Gaudí. The Gothic cathedral here's called the 'House of Light' because of those 1,800 square metres of stained-glass windows, and it really lives up to the name. At midday you'll head to a local winery for tastings and a group lunch in the wine cellar. The evening's free to do your own thing.

León to Picos de Europa National Park to Cantabria
You'll travel through mountain scenery on your way to Picos de Europa National Park. Lunch is a hearty traditional Cantabrian meal including cocido lebaniego at Parador de Fuente Dé. Then comes a cable car ride up 753 metres to the Aliva viewpoint, where you get sweeping views over the Liebana Valley and all those jagged peaks. After settling into your Cantabria accommodation, you'll have the final group dinner together this evening.

Cantabria to Santander to Bilbao
Spend time at Magdalena Peninsula checking out the Palacio de la Magdalena and taking in the Cantabrian Sea views. A small train runs through the peninsula if you want that experience. Then explore Santander's character and grab lunch at a local spot. From there you'll head to Bilbao, where your Camino adventure wraps up and you'll say goodbye to the group.
