Edinburgh
You'll meet your tour leader and other travelers in historic Edinburgh this evening. It's a chance to get to know everyone over a welcome dinner and settle into the start of your trip.

Edinburgh to North York Moors
Cross into England and spend time at Alnwick Castle, where you'll have free time to wander the gardens. After that, head to Durham Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, then travel to North York Moors for an included group dinner.

- Day 3
North York Moors
Start with a guided tour of the Captain Cook Museum in Whitby. From there, you'll see Whitby Abbey, a 7th century monastery perched on the East Cliff with views over the North Sea. Return to North York Moors for dinner.

North York Moors to Buxton
Spend the day in medieval York, walking through the Snickelways and the historic Shambles with its timber-framed buildings. You'll have free time for lunch at a local pub or bistro, then head to Buxton in the Peak District where your evening is yours to do as you like.

Buxton
Learn about Eyam village's plague history, then visit Chatsworth House, a grand stately home that inspired Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. You'll get an audio tour of the apartments and free time to explore the gardens before a leisure afternoon back in the Peak District.

Lincoln to Cambridge

Cambridge
