You'll arrive in London this evening and meet your Travel Director along with the other travelers. Dinner is a traditional English pub meal, so you're getting the full local experience right from the start.

London
The morning brings a half-day guided tour with a Local Specialist covering the major sights: Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, and Buckingham Palace. After lunch, you'll head to the Imperial War Museum to learn about conflicts from World War I through today, including seeing a Spitfire from the Battle of Britain. Your evening is free to wander along the Thames, ride the London Eye, or check out Covent Garden.

You'll travel by Eurostar high-speed train to Brussels, arriving with time to explore. Your Travel Director guides you through the city's highlights including the Atomium, Mannekin Pis, and the Grand Place with its ornate guildhalls surrounding the square.

Brussels to Ypres Region
Today focuses on World War I history starting in Dunkirk, where you'll learn about Operation Dynamo and the evacuation of over 330,000 Allied troops. From there, you'll stop in Fromelles to see where British and Australian forces fought together. Later, you'll visit Vimy Ridge Memorial to honor the Canadian soldiers who fought there in 1917.

The Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917 includes a replica trench so you can better understand the conditions. After exploring Essex Farm Cemetery where over 1,200 servicemen are buried and where Lt. Col. John McCrae wrote 'In Flanders Fields', you'll have free time this afternoon to sample local beers. By evening, you'll attend the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate, a moving tribute to over 100,000 soldiers.

Heading south through Normandy, you'll have a local experience tasting sweets at a confectionary factory. In Rouen, you'll get an orientation tour of this historic city that was captured by the French in 1204. Later, you'll reach Caen to visit the Memorial de Caen and learn about Normandy's role in World War II.

D-Day Normandy Landing Beaches
This day takes you to the D-Day landing beaches where you'll walk Juno Beach, Pointe du Hoc, and Omaha Beach. You'll visit the American Cemetery and Memorial to learn about Canadian, American, and Commonwealth participation in the June 6, 1944 landings. This evening, you'll have a Be My Guest Experience with the Ferrut family at their equestrian centre to connect with locals.

Paris
A Local Specialist leads you through Paris, starting with the church of Saint-Sulpice and then walking through hidden squares in one of the city's oldest neighborhoods. The tour ends in one of the city's nicest squares that locals love. After the tour, your day is free to see what you want. This evening is your Farewell Dinner with your travel companions and Travel Director.
