Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Soti Khola
You'll start driving from Kathmandu toward Soti Khola, which serves as the gateway to the Manaslu Circuit Trekking region. The route takes you through Dhading Beshi and Arughat, and you should know the roads get pretty rough and bumpy once you pass Dhading. By evening you'll be settling into an overnight stay in Soti Khola.

Soti Khola to Machha Khola
Your first trekking day starts with woods as you head upriver along the banks of the Budhi Gandaki River. You'll cross over mountains with frequent views down to the river far below. After several hours of walking, you'll arrive at Machha Khola where you'll stay at a guesthouse for the night.

Machha Khola to Jagat
Starting out, you'll cross the Machha Khola River and pass through Khorlabesi on your way to Tatopani, which is known for its therapeutic hot springs. From there, the trek continues through forested areas past Dovan Khola and the Budhi Gandaki Valley. As you gain elevation, you'll notice vegetation changing around you as you make your way to Jagat Village. A guesthouse there will be your base for the night.

Jagat to Deng
You'll trek through the valley reaching Sirdibas, where fantastic views of Shringi Himal open up. After crossing a suspension bridge, the trail ascends steeply toward Philim with waterfalls dropping from the mountains. Continuing on, you'll pass through Ekle Bhatti and Pewa Village before arriving at Deng Village for your overnight stop.

Deng to Namrung
This day involves a steep climb followed by a descent down to the Budhi Gandaki River. You'll trek through the valley past small settlements, and as you get closer to Namrung, you'll start seeing Mani stones carved with Tibetan mantras, indicating you're entering Tibetan Buddhist territory. There's an optional 2 hour round trip detour to Prok village in the afternoon if you're interested. Later you'll continue to Namrung for an overnight stay.

Namrung to Samagaun
Walking between Mani stone walls in Lho Village, a remote place with minimal modern development, you'll get views of the snow-capped peak of Ngadi Chuli (7,871m/25,823 ft). A short detour takes you up to Pungen Glacier for close-up views of Mt. Manaslu. You'll then reach Samagaun where you'll sleep at a guesthouse.

Samagaun to Samdo
You'll walk across pastures and descend to the valley floor with great views of the surrounding peaks, especially Mt. Manaslu. From there you'll head to Samdo, a remote Tibetan refugee village located near the Tibetan border. The afternoon is free, so you can explore the village and nearby countryside at your own pace. A guesthouse in Samdo will be your overnight accommodation.

Samdo to Dharamsala
Crossing several rivers on your way, you'll reach Larkya Bazaar, a trading post where merchants head down from Tibet. After that, you'll climb a steep trail up to Dharamsala where you'll stay at a guesthouse for the night.

Landmarks/POIs Larkya Bazaar Dharamsala - Day 9
Dharamsala to Bhimthang via Larkya La Pass
This is a challenging day where you'll cross Larkya La Pass at 5,106m (17,121 ft) to reach Bhimthang. First you'll climb to Cho Chanda, then tackle the steep snow-covered pass with exceptional views of surrounding Himalayan peaks like Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Gyaji Kung, Kang Koru, and Annapurna II. The descent is steep as you trek across moraines to Bhimthang Village for an overnight stay.

Bhimthang to Dharapani
You'll descend from high pasture land and cross the Dudh Khola on a suspension bridge. After that, the trek takes you through rhododendron and oak forests (rhododendrons flower in spring) for about 6 to 7 hours as you reach Dharapani in the Annapurna region, a common starting point for the Annapurna circuit trek. You'll stay at a guesthouse in Dharapani.

Dharapani to Kathmandu
On your final day, you'll cross the river and take a local jeep to Besisahar. From there, you'll catch a bus back to Kathmandu where you'll be dropped off at your hotel, completing the Manaslu Circuit trek.
