Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Ulaanbaatar

    You'll arrive in Ulaanbaatar and get settled at your hotel. After checking in, a guided tour takes you through the city's main sites. You'll see Chinggis Square, walk through the National Historical Museum, and visit Gandan Monastery before heading up to Zaisan Hill for views over the city. Dinner brings something special: you'll meet a shaman at a local restaurant and hear about their work before the evening ends.

  2. Day 2

    Ulaanbaatar to Shaman's Center

    Start by heading to a supermarket to stock up on supplies for the next few days. From there, you'll drive out to the shaman's center to meet the shaman's family and learn how shamanism traditions work in their daily life. The night is spent in a ger right near their home, giving you a real sense of how people live outside the city.

  3. Day 3

    Shaman's Center

    This day centers on experiencing a traditional shaman ritual firsthand. You'll participate in ceremonies including offerings to mother earth and the nymph. The shaman performs rituals, communicates with ancestors, and offers personal guidance throughout. A professional guide translates everything so you understand what's happening. You'll stay another night in the ger near the shaman's home.

    Shaman's Center

    You continue working with the shaman, taking part in more shamanic rituals and deepening your understanding of these practices. Another night in the ger gives you more time to reflect on the experiences and the spiritual traditions you're learning about.

  5. Day 5

    Shaman's Center to Terelj National Park

    After saying goodbye to the shaman, you travel 54 km to reach Terelj National Park. Once there, you'll hike through the landscape to see the natural terrain and visit the meditation temple at Ariyabal Monastery. The night is spent at a tourist camp within the park, where you're surrounded by the Mongolian countryside.

  6. Day 6

    Terelj National Park to Ulaanbaatar

    After lunch, you head to the Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex, a major landmark worth seeing. Later you'll return to Ulaanbaatar for some free time to browse shops for souvenirs and cashmere. Before dinner, you'll watch a traditional Mongolian folklore concert, then eat at a local restaurant. You'll sleep in your hotel this night.

For tours departing after February 17th, 2026, a minimum payment of $350 is required to confirm your booking with Bumantour LLC. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
