My trip was really terrific. The route was precisely as promised. Hotels were good. Food was good. The Guide was more than excellent - a veritable walking history book! The coach driver was also excellent - helpful, polite and with a good sense of local humour! Not a drop of rain or puff of wind!!! The other travellers were polite and helpful, as well as cooperative with the Driver and Guide, I was tired but happy at the end. Definitely would recommend RIT.

The tour, organised by Royal Irish Tours, gave a great overview of the North Coast of Scotland and the Islands. Our tour guide, Alasdair, was excellent. Being part of a smaller group made the experience much more enjoyable. I've given 5 stars but really it is 4.5. a little has to be deducted because of the accommodation which could have been better. We stayed in three different hotels and 2 of them were disappointing. The third and last one was very good. All the hotels were three star but the consistency in standard was not there. Notwithstanding this point it is a superb tour and I would highly recommend it.

Nick and Kevin offered us a fresh and varied experience. Loaded with historical information, funny stories, and witty antidotes, the tour was terrific. We kept to the "schedule" buy Kevin always made sure to add in some of our "must sees".

The North Coast & Islands tour can be on the more active side do to the nature of the remote locations, there will be some uneven grounds, some of the hotels may not have elevators so you may walk up a few stairs. As you are active if those few things noted work for you then you shouldn't have any issues.

We have a party of 6 adults and are interested in booking your tour. However, one member of our party is 81 years old. The information on this tour states a maximum age of 80. Does that mean we can't book the tour since he is 81 years old?

We have many people of all ages take our tours. All of our tours are leisurely-paced and provide plenty of stops so you are never on the coach for too long. If there is ever a visit you did not wish to participate in, you could opt out, have a coffee in the cafe, etc. Everyone needs to be able to get on and off the coach on their own, the driver and tour manager are not able to assist with this.
