- Day 1
Labuan Bajo to Turtle Conservation Base Camp
You'll leave Labuan Bajo at 09:00 and drive through mountain-top coffee farms and ricefields around Lembor before heading into the savannahs along the south coast. The journey takes you through changing landscapes, so you'll see quite a bit of variety. By 15:00 you'll arrive at the base camp and turtle conservation center. After settling in, you'll join the team for an evening beach clean to help with conservation efforts. Dinner happens on the clifftop overlooking the Savu Sea, so you get nice views as the day winds down. Accommodation is simple bunkhouse or expedition tent setup right on the cliffs.

Turtle Conservation Base Camp to Wae Rebo Village
This morning starts early if there's a potential sunrise turtle nest patrol with the conservation team (this depends on the season). After that, you'll have a big breakfast in the clifftop dining area. You'll spend a few hours exploring the local area before lunch. Later, you'll travel to the trailhead at Denge Village and hike through the forest up to Wae Rebo village. The pace here is slower and different from what you're used to. In the evening, you might join storytelling and singing traditions with the locals. You'll sleep inside a traditional Manggarai house.

Wae Rebo Village to Labuan Bajo
Early start to catch the sunrise from inside the caldera of this long-dormant volcano. You'll have freshly roasted and ground local coffee surrounded by cloud forests, then a hearty breakfast. The descent from the volcano usually takes less than 2 hours. You'll head back to base camp by sea for lunch, stopping at clifftop viewpoints along the way. After that, you'll drive home through the ricefields on the Lembor plateau. If you have afternoon flights scheduled, you should arrive in Labuan Bajo by 15:30.
