Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Cape Town to Cederberg

    You'll arrive in Cape Town and head out on a three-hour drive to the Cederberg area, stopping in Clanwilliam for a light lunch. After that, you'll hike through rose-red rock formations to reach a small hamlet where you're staying the night in a thatched roof guesthouse.

  2. Day 2

    Cederberg

    This hike covers more ground than yesterday, but donkey carts are on hand if you'd rather take it easier. You'll finish in the region's smallest village, which has just 4 houses, and spend the night there.

  3. Day 3

    Cederberg to Kleinvlei

    Today you walk through the Cederberg mountains, passing waterfalls and mountain pools along the way. Your destination is Kleinvlei, the most remote village in the Moravian community here.

  4. Day 4

    Kleinvlei to Wupperthal to Winelands

    You'll hike through a spectacular gorge that leads to Wupperthal, a Mission village built in the 19th century. From there, transport takes you toward the Cape winelands, which is about a 3-hour drive away.

    Winelands to Cape Town

    • For any tour departing before December 22nd, 2025 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after December 22nd, 2025, a minimum payment of 30% is required to confirm your booking with Local Safaris. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 30 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
