- Audrey· May 18th, 2025This tour was .amazing. Our tour guide, Austin, was knowledgeable and funny. Our driver, Neil, was the best.. The accommodation was outstanding. Scotland is beautiful. I would highly recommend this tour.Show moreTrip date: April 2025
- Katherine· October 25th, 2024I loved Scotland but I'll never book another tour on tour radar or use CIE. When I booked it was very important that the group tour be small- a maximum of 26 guests. I showed up and there were 41 guests rather than the guaranteed 26! It was a completely different trip dynamic. I was very disappointed. I'll leave it at that.Show moreTrip date: September 2024
- RRRosalynn· September 24th, 2024I have never done a bus tour before. I am a fan now. Saw lots of great places and met some amazing people on the tour.Show moreTrip date: September 2024
- Holly· September 24th, 2024Just got back home to Canada after the Scottish Dream 8day tour. I had a great time. This was my first tour with CIE We had Dave as our guide and Jim was our driver. Great guys! Helpful and informative. I would highly recommend using CIE tours to everyone.Show moreTrip date: September 2024
- PHPatricia· September 13th, 2024Tour, guide, and driver were all excellent. My complaint is that you advertised the tour as having a maximum of 26 people. We had 42 people on our tour. They were very nice people and I enjoyed meeting them, but this was not as advertised and is misleading. Did you charge more for a smaller group?Show moreTrip date: September 2024
- DGDorothy· August 23rd, 2024Overall, the experience was good and generally met expectations. There were issues with getting to Isle of Skye, which seemed to be related to not a big enough Ferry to accommodate the motorcoach. This was a great disappointment. It seems this issue could have been prepared for in advance, as this tour has been ongoing. I would have liked to had a more time-lined, detailed itinerary upon arrival and available at our initial meeting collectively as a tour group. The Guide "Perri" was very knowledgeable of the history and points of interest in Scotland. She was able to adequately answer questions and provide information. But, I felt she "guided" very little and I believe we only used the "talk boxes" 3 times during the course of entire trip. There was more of an emphasis on self-guidance if at all possible. The Guide was adequate, but I've certainly had much more attentive, engaging Guides who seemed more enthusiastic and interestede in their tour group.Show moreTrip date: August 2024

- SRSherry· June 29th, 2024I had a wonderful time in Scotland! Perri, CIE tour director, was knowledgeable about the history of each area we passed through. She shared not only history, but also local lore and faerie stories. Many had us laughing and, on occasion, groaning. Our driver, Francis, maneuvered the bus around tight turns with expertise. For the most part the hotel meals were very good as long as you steered clear of the overcooked chicken breasts.Show moreTrip date: June 2024

Shirley
Asked on May 24th, 2025What is the elevation of the road we would take thru the Grampian Mountain? Also do you have rest rooms on coaches?
- CIE ToursOperator•Written May 2025
Roads through the Grampians do not typically reach altitudes anywhere near 2,500 feet. Most of the highest roads in Scotland rarely exceed 2,000 feet (610 meters) in elevation. Most of our coaches are equipped with emergency restrooms. However, for safety reasons they cannot be used when the coach is in motion. The coach makes frequent rest/bathroom stops at two-hour intervals or less, for the comfort of all passengers.
