Itinerary
- Day 1
Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You'll arrive at Entebbe Airport where your guide meets you and goes over what to expect for the week. After that, head straight to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an evening game drive. You'll have a good chance of seeing lions, including the tree-climbing ones that this park is known for, along with elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, and various birds. The landscape shifts between lakes, savannah, forests, and wetlands as you drive.

Queen Elizabeth National Park
Start with breakfast and then get into a morning game drive through Queen Elizabeth. You're looking for lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, warthogs, and birds. Around midday, take lunch back at your lodge, then travel to Lake Katwe in the afternoon. This lake sits in a volcanic crater and is famous for salt production. If you want, there's an optional evening game drive available, but it's up to you.

Kibale National Park
Head out early to Kibale National Park for chimpanzee tracking. You'll spend time watching these primates in their natural setting, seeing them play, swing through trees, and forage. In the afternoon, take a scenic boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which stretches about 32 kilometres and connects Lake Edward to Lake George. On this waterway you'll see one of the world's biggest hippo populations and plenty of Nile crocodiles.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After an early breakfast, travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, where about half of all mountain gorillas on Earth live. The forest is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If you're interested in photography, there's an optional early morning game drive. Later in the day, join a community walk to meet the Batwa people, who call themselves 'the keepers of the forest' and have deep knowledge of this land.

Landmarks/POIs Bwindi Impenetrable Forest - Day 5
Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi
This is the main event of your trip. After breakfast, your ranger gives you a briefing before trekking into the ancient forest to find mountain gorillas. You'll spend a full hour observing these creatures in their natural habitat. Bring packed lunch, proper hiking shoes, a rain coat, and your camera for this experience. After trekking, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for the evening.

Lake Bunyonyi
Spend the day relaxing at Lake Bunyonyi, surrounded by green terraced hills. Over 200 bird species live here, including migratory and water birds. Unlike many African lakes, there are no crocodiles or hippos, and the water is free from bilharzia, so swimming is safe. Though it's Uganda's deepest lake and Africa's second largest, the water is easy to swim in, giving you a nice break in your trip.

Lake Bunyonyi to Entebbe
Have a leisurely breakfast and check out of your lodge, then drive toward Entebbe using the Mbarara-Masaka road. You'll pass the Uganda Equator mark, where you'll stop for lunch. From there, complete your journey back to Entebbe, wrapping up your 7-day safari through Uganda.
