- Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu
You'll be greeted at Tribhuvan International Airport and driven to your hotel in Kathmandu. The staff will walk through trek details with you, covering safety protocols and what to expect on the trail. This briefing gets you oriented before heading into the mountains.

Kathmandu to Besisahar
A long drive takes you from Kathmandu toward the trekking start point, so spend the ride watching the landscape shift from urban areas to rivers and terraced rice fields with Himalayan peaks rising in the distance. You'll arrive at a guesthouse where all meals are provided for the night.

Besisahar to Chame
Starting from Dharapani, you trek through Danaque and climb toward Tamang Village with its stone houses and slate roofs. The trail offers views of Manaslu (8163m), Annapurna, and other high peaks, then continues through Tibetan villages like Thanchowk and Koto before reaching Chame.

Chame to Pisang
From Chame, you trek to Telekhu with nice views of the Annapurna Ranges and Mt. Pisang (6091m). The path crosses a suspension bridge over the Marsyangdi River to reach the southern side, then climbs through pine forest into the upper Manang Valley before ending at Pisang.

Pisang to Braga
The trek from Pisang to Braga takes you to a Tibetan village where houses are built one on top of another. Braga has one of Manang's main attractions, its Gompa (Buddhist temple), the largest in the region. Many trekkers pause here to help their bodies adjust to higher elevation.

Braga to Manang via Khangsar
Today you climb to Khangsar (3756m) then return to Manang for the night. Staying active at higher elevations helps your body acclimatize better, so this hike gets you moving without sleeping too high. It prepares you for the harder trekking ahead.

Landmarks Khangsar - Day 7
Manang to Khangsar
Leaving Manang, you trek through Khangsar village with its unusual stone houses and local culture. The path follows the ridge up to Khangsar (3734m), where you can see the less-known Kang Guru Peak (6981m) from this vantage point.

Khangsar to Tilicho Lake and Sri Kharka
This trek takes about 5 to 6 hours as you climb toward Tilicho Lake at the base of Tilicho Peak (7134m). Along the way, yaks and deer graze on the slopes. The lake shifts through different shades of blue depending on the light, and after photos and sightseeing, you head back down to Sri Kharka for the night.

Sri Kharka to Yak Kharka
You trek downward from Khangsar Village, passing through Tare Gumba (3870m), which has a monastery. The trail follows Thorong Khola Valley past the abandoned Old Khangsar settlement before reaching Yak Kharka as your destination.

Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi or High Camp
Climbing higher today, you gradually adjust to the altitude while following the east bank of the Jarang Khola with views of steep bluffs. You can stop at Thorong Phedi or continue another hour to High Camp (4800m). The area's wildlife includes blue sheep and possibly snow leopards, plus you might see lammergeyers soaring overhead.

Thorong Phedi to Muktinath via Thorong La Pass
Expect 7 to 8 hours of hiking today, making this likely the hardest day of your trek. Higher altitude and sometimes strong winds make it tougher. You'll pass sheep, yaks, and merchants with goods, then reach Thorong La Pass with views of Annapurna, Gangapurna, and Khatungkang (6484m). Descending about 1600 metres, you'll see Dhaulagiri (meaning 'White Mountain'), Nepal's highest peak contained entirely within the country. After roughly 10 hours total, you arrive in Muktinath.

Muktinath to Pokhara
From Muktinath, you travel through Jomsom, Tatopani, and Beni Bazaar on your way to Pokhara. You'll stay overnight at a hotel in Pokhara, a town known for Phewa Tal (lake). In the evening, wander the lakeside shops and catch the sunset over the Annapurna ranges.

Departure from Kathmandu
Your final day arrives and it's time to leave Nepal. The staff will pick you up at least 3 hours before your flight time and take you to the airport. On the plane, you can think back on your time in the mountains and start planning when you'll return to Nepal.
