Itinerary

Day 1
Nairobi to Maasai Mara
Your hotel pickup happens at 8 am for the drive toward Maasai Mara. Along the way, you'll stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for about 10 to 15 minutes to take in the views, then continue on to the camp where lunch is waiting. After checking in and settling, you head back out between 4 and 6 pm for a sunset game drive. The evening brings dinner and rest at Jambo Mara Safari Camp.

Day 2
Maasai Mara
An early breakfast around 7 am gets you ready for a full day in Maasai Mara. You'll spend the day searching for the Big Five and watching the wildebeest migration if it's happening. A picnic lunch comes with you in the park. You'll head to Mara River to spot crocodiles and hippos, then continue driving through the reserve until the light starts fading. Dinner and the night are back at camp.

After an early breakfast, you check out and begin the drive back to Nairobi. A stop at a Maasai Village lets you learn about local life and talk with community members. Lunch (complimentary) happens at a travellers motel during the drive back. You'll arrive at your Nairobi Hotel by the end of the day, wrapping up the tour.

Plus: many animals encountered (4 of the "big five") and quite close, as they can be approached easily in the park. It was great! Minus: no airport pick-up but in the city center, with a cab to pay extra ($60 return). Park fees also quite high ($200/person). Accommodation a little below our expectations and description (hot and cold water problems).

This tour was brilliant. Our guide, Peter, was incredible at finding the animals and we saw everything we wanted to up close and personal. The communication was clear, the accommodation was perfect for the budget price and we would 100% recommend it!

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 62 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
