- Day 1
Nairobi to Masai Mara
You'll leave Nairobi early this morning and cross the Great Rift Valley on your way to the Masai Mara Reserve. After checking into your camp at the edge of the reserve, you'll head out on an afternoon game drive in a specialized safari vehicle to start looking for wildlife. The landscape here changes dramatically as you descend into the valley, and you'll notice the shift in vegetation and terrain as you get closer to your accommodation.

- Day 2
Masai Mara
Today is dedicated to exploring Masai Mara with both morning and afternoon game drives. You'll search for the Great Migration's massive herds of wildebeest, antelope, and zebra. Keep your eyes open for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, crocodiles, and hyenas. Between drives, you'll have time back at camp for lunch and to rest before heading out again in the afternoon.

- Day 3
Masai Mara to Nairobi
You'll head back across the Great Rift Valley today, retracing your route from the reserve toward Nairobi. The drive takes several hours, so you'll have time to reflect on your safari experiences. You'll arrive in Nairobi and check into your accommodation for an overnight stay before continuing your journey.

Nairobi to Arusha, Tanzania
After boarding the overland truck, you'll cross into Tanzania and head toward Arusha, the country's safari capital. Upon arrival, you'll have the chance to browse local markets. Depending on your group's pace and timing, you might also visit a Maasai village to learn about the local culture and traditions of the region.

Landmarks Mount Meru Serengeti National Park - Day 5
Arusha to Serengeti National Park
You'll transfer to specialized safari vehicles and head into Serengeti National Park. The drive takes you around the rim of Ngorongoro Crater before reaching your unfenced bush campsite. By evening, you'll settle in and spend the night listening to the sounds of African wildlife all around you, a truly immersive experience.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
You'll enjoy one final game drive on the crater floor early this morning, looking for any animals you might have missed yesterday. By mid-morning, you'll head back to camp for lunch. After packing up your belongings, you'll make the drive back to Arusha for your next phase of travel.

- Day 8
Arusha to Bagamoyo
After a week of safari, you're heading to Bagamoyo on the Indian Ocean coast. It's a long drive, but if the weather cooperates, you might catch views of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro during the journey. Your accommodation sits near the beach, giving you the freedom to explore the coastal town at your own pace.

Bagamoyo to Dar es Salaam

Arab architecture, vibrant markets, beaches, and bars are all waiting for you. You'll stay by the beach tonight.

Iringa to Mbeya Area
You'll head toward Malawi with a stop at the Utengule Coffee Lodge in the Mbeya range of Southern Tanzania. The lodge offers great views of the East African Rift Valley. You can relax by the pool or try activities like squash, tennis, table tennis, and volleyball. Coffee lovers can join a guided tour through the plantation and watch the roasting demonstration.

You'll start early for a long drive to Lusaka, Zambia's capital. The route follows the Great Eastern Road through lush countryside and crosses the rushing Luangwa River. You'll camp tonight at a tranquil farm outside Lusaka, Southern Africa's fastest-growing city.

This afternoon you'll take a cruise on the Chobe River to see elephants, hippos, and crocodiles on the banks.

Chobe National Park to Nata, Botswana
You'll go on an open vehicle game drive in Chobe National Park searching for elephants, lions, and various antelope species. After leaving Chobe, you'll travel south into the Nata region. Your unfenced campsite here offers some of the best wildlife experiences in the area as local animals roam freely through camp.

Maun to Omaheke Region, Namibia
You'll board the overland truck and travel to the Namibian border via Ghanzi, skirting the edge of the barren Kalahari Desert. After crossing into Namibia, you'll go on an included bush walk with local San Bushmen to learn about their way of life and how they work with nature. This activity might happen on Day 8 instead depending on your arrival time.

Omaheke Region to Windhoek, Namibia
You'll arrive in Windhoek, Namibia's charming capital with a population of 470,000. The city features German architecture from its colonial past. Your camp is on the edge of the city, so you can head into town for food and exploration. Joe's Beerhouse is recommended as perhaps Namibia's most famous restaurant.

Etosha National Park to Spitzkoppe, Namibia
You'll leave Etosha and head into the Damaraland region toward Spitzkoppe mountain peak. You'll see incredibly well-preserved Bushmen paintings and spectacular rock formations reaching 1,800 meters above sea level. The rocks change color as the sun moves across the sky, particularly beautiful at sunrise and sunset. You'll stay at a campsite at the base of the mountain.

Sesriem Area, Namibia
You'll head into Namib-Naukluft National Park to Dune 45, the desert's most famous landmark towering over 300 meters high. You can try climbing it if you're up for the challenge. You'll journey deeper to Deadvlei, a white clay pan surrounded by golden dunes and home to eerie petrified trees. You'll stop at Sesriem Canyon on the way to tonight's camp.

The canyon is more than 500 meters deep and scarring the land for 160 kilometers. You'll stop at a couple of viewpoints and visit the canyon's famous sharp bend known as 'Hell's Corner'.
