Itinerary
- Day 1
Vancouver
You'll arrive in Vancouver and get settled at your hotel. This afternoon, you'll meet with your Travel Director who kicks off the trip and fills you in on what's ahead in this nature-focused, culturally diverse city.
- Day 2
Vancouver to Victoria
Start by walking through Gastown, Vancouver's oldest neighbourhood, then head to Stanley Park to see the famous totem poles. After that, you'll take a ferry to Vancouver Island and drive to Victoria for an orientation tour, passing the Parliament Buildings and Beacon Hill Park.

Victoria
Your morning takes you through Butchart Gardens where you can walk around the sunken, rose, Japanese, Italian and Mediterranean gardens. The rest of the day is free to explore Victoria on your own, or you can join an optional whale watching cruise where you might spot orcas, bald eagles, porpoises and seals.

Victoria to Whistler
You'll start in Chemainus checking out its outdoor murals, then ferry across the Georgia Strait and drive the scenic Sea-to-Sky Highway. There's a stop at Shannon Falls Provincial Park to see British Columbia's third highest waterfall, and then you'll drive on to Whistler, an alpine village in the Blackcomb Mountains.

Whistler has plenty of options depending on what you're after. You can hike or bike on trails throughout the area or wander through Whistler Village. Optional activities include bear viewing with a wildlife photographer, whitewater rafting, or zip lining at 100 km per hour if you want more intensity.

Whistler to Sun Peaks
After breakfast at Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre with First Nations cuisine and cultural performances, you'll drive along scenic Duffey Lake Road where you'll see Seton Lake. Then you'll follow the historic Cariboo Wagon Trail (Gold Rush Route) heading toward Sun Peaks.

The drive takes you through white fenced ranch lands along the Yellowhead Highway with views of the Columbia Mountains and Mount Robson, Canada's highest peak. You'll arrive in Jasper, which sits in the heart of Jasper National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Jasper
Canada's largest national park gives you lots of choices for the day. You can take a boat cruise on Maligne Lake, join a food tour with a Local Expert, go on a guided e-bike tour, take a guided nature hike, or experience a raft tour on Jasper waters.

Jasper to Banff
You'll drive down the spectacular Icefields Parkway and explore the 10,000-year-old Athabasca Glacier aboard an Ice Explorer. Next comes the glass-floor thrills of the Columbia Icefield Skywalk. After grabbing lunch, you'll enter Banff National Park to see Lake Louise, then spend free time in Banff Village.

Today you can relax in Banff or pick from several optional experiences. Start early for a Moraine Lake sunrise with a Local Guide, explore traditional Indigenous medicines on a Mahikan Medicine Walk, take a helicopter tour over Mt. Assiniboine or the Three Sisters, or ride the Banff Gondola to Sulphur Mountain for dinner and summit views.

Banff to Vernon
You'll cross the Continental Divide at Kicking Horse Pass and stop at the Spiral Tunnels to see one of the steepest railroad stretches in the world. From there, you'll travel through three national parks as the landscape shifts from snowy peaks to the wineries and fruit orchards of the Okanagan Valley. There's a stop at Larch Hills Winery for a tour and tasting before reaching Vernon.

You'll head back to Vancouver for an overnight stay to prepare for your Alaskan cruise departure the following day.

Check in to your Holland America cruise liner by 1:00pm at Canada Place. Your ship departs and passes below Vancouver's spectacular Lion's Gate suspension bridge as you head out.

You'll explore Skagway, the largest city in Alaska that still has that gold rush era feeling, with impressive historic buildings and great views throughout the town.

The ship arrives in Ketchikan, known as the salmon capital of the world, where you can enjoy the cheerful atmosphere of this charming Alaskan port.

Inside Passage Return
You'll cruise back through the Inside Passage on your final day at sea, spending time taking in the crisp air and scenery from the ship.

Your cruise sails back into Vancouver Harbour, and you'll disembark at approximately 9:30 AM to end your trip.
