Itinerary
- Day 1
Livingstone to Monze
Your lodge pickup starts at 8am, and from there you'll head north on the T-1 road toward Kalomo. Breakfast happens in Kalomo town where you can walk through colonial-era sites like the Pioneer gravesite, the first state house, and the original Standard Chartered Bank building. After exploring those, you'll stop at the Kalundu archaeological mound before continuing to Choma. Around lunchtime you'll check out the museum and craft center there. By evening you'll arrive in Monze for dinner and settle in for your first night.

Monze to Lochinvar National Park
Start with breakfast in Monze, then drive the Monze-Namwala road heading toward Lochinvar National Park, arriving by 9:30 am. Your guide will take you to spots with lots of birds, and during the day you'll pass through Gwisho Hotsprings, see the Baobab tree and drums, and explore Chunga Lagoon. There's birdwatching and wildlife activities on foot, with lunch provided while you're out. You might see the rare Kafue Lechwe and other animals. By 4pm you're heading back through the Samu Lya Moomba national heritage site and returning to Monze for dinner and overnight.

Monze to Livingstone
Have breakfast in your Monze lodge, then leave at 8:30 am for the drive back to Livingstone. You'll stop at Family Safari Lodge to see resident wild animals including lions. Around noon you'll break for lunch in Choma, after which you'll continue south and arrive back in Livingstone by 3:30 pm for your lodge or hotel dropoff. If you'd rather go to Lusaka instead, that option's available but costs extra.
