Quito
You'll arrive in Quito whenever suits your schedule. A G Adventures representative will meet you to go over how the tour works and what to expect over the next week.

Landmarks/POIs Equator Line - Day 2
Quito to Galápagos Islands
An early morning flight gets you out to the Galápagos Islands. Once you land, head straight to Bachas Beach where you'll see Sally Lightfoot crabs scuttling around, sea lions lounging on the sand, and if you're lucky, a flamingo or two wading in the shallows.

El Barranco
Start the day at Darwin Bay walking the trails and watching for the different bird species hanging around. After lunch, move over to El Barranco where you can spot red-footed boobies and other booby types. Snorkeling is on the agenda if you want to get in the water.

Sullivan Bay
Head to Bartolomé for a guided walk through the island's volcanic landscape with its dramatic rock formations and crater views. Then travel to Sullivan Bay on Santiago Island to see the contrast between dark lava flows and the white-coral sand. Snorkeling is available if conditions allow.

Cerro Dragón
Take a panga into the mangroves at Black Turtle Cove looking for marine life in the shallow waters. Later, move to Cerro Dragón to look for various bird species in the area.

Santa Cruz Island
Spend time at the Charles Darwin Research Station learning about the islands' conservation efforts. Then head up into the highlands of Santa Cruz to search for giant land tortoises in their natural habitat. By afternoon, you'll have free time to walk around Puerto Ayora and check out the town on your own.

Floreana Island
Visit Post Office Bay on Floreana Island and take guided walks to see birds and other wildlife while learning about the island's history. After that, you'll snorkel at Corona del Diablo where the underwater scenery is worth the effort.

Española Island
Spend the day on Española Island, one of the older islands in the chain. Go to Punta Suárez where bird colonies gather (the waved albatross shows up between April and December). After eating lunch, head to Gardner Bay with its white sand and take time to snorkel in the clear water.

San Cristóbal Island to Quito
Check out the Interpretation Centre on San Cristóbal Island to round out your island experience, then fly back to Quito later in the day.
