This Outlander tour was wonderful. It was booked with Rabbies which was excellent. The group was a group of 15 people which I liked. The bugs driver/ tour guide Lizzie was fantastic. Super sweet and chock full of stories and knowledge. The itinerary and overall organization was good. I felt we did a lot more Outlander heavy stuff on day 1 and day 4 which I loved. In the town of Falkland, we had dinner and further spend much time exploring there and got tons do some photos but that felt a bit rushed and this town I looked forward to see while area small, I wanted to soak in a bit more. We entered all castles with no issues as 99% of them came pre booked or were free to enter with exception of midhope castle. The accommodations provided were both excellent in my opinion. I was very happy where I stayed and had a full Scottish breakfast at both places. During the tour there were plenty of times bathroom breaks and a lunch break. The tour bus was easy to find in Edinburgh with the instructions provided and we were dropped off same location with ease. I highly recommend.

The tour leader Sara was great. Very communicative and nothing was too much trouble. Sara looked after us very well. Local tour guides were generally good except for Rome where he was a bit boring. The biggest issue we have is the Hotel Giosue a Mare in Sorrento. We were very disappointed to stay at a hotel near the water and have a view of a rock wall half a metre from our window. We know other people in our group had balconies and water views. We requested a move to a different room but the rude woman at reception refused. Also, another couple in our group were moved out of their nice room to an inferior room for the third night supposedly because the shower needed repairs but they said the shower worked just fine. I think the hotel staff play favorites. We suggest you drop this hotel from you list.

Could you please explain the difference between the Premium and the Premium Plus tours with the same itinerary?

    Tour Details
    • On The Go ToursOperatorWritten February 2023

The difference between Premium and Premium plus is that you will be on a nicer, and newer ship with better amenities, more spacious cabin (by a few square feet not a huge difference but nicer), and a more spacious Galley, in my opinion it is worth the difference in cost but it is also the only space left on the September 2nd departure.

      TravelerWritten February 2023

According to your website, the Premium and the Premium Plus cruises have not only the same itineraries but the same dates. Are there two ships, therefore, that cruise together?

    • On The Go ToursOperatorWritten February 2023

They will depart from the same place and be docked in the same place but don't necessarily sail together the whole time. One ship may arrive earlier or later in a given destination as well. They will visit all the same places it is only the class of the ship that is different.
