Itinerary

1. Day 1

   Arrival in Negombo

   Your driver meets you at Colombo Airport and takes you to Heritance Negombo. Depending when you land, you'll have some free time in the afternoon before heading to a welcome dinner at the hotel.

2. Day 2

   Negombo

   The day is yours to relax in Negombo. You'll get a signature spa treatment at the hotel, so take advantage of the downtime and enjoy the facilities.

3. Day 3

   Negombo to Sigiriya

   After breakfast, you head toward Sigiriya with a stop at Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage to see over 65 rescued elephants. From there, continue on to the 5th century Rock Fortress (Lion Rock) and check into Heritance Kandalama. The rest of the afternoon is for exploring the fortress itself.

4. Day 4

   Polonnaruwa - Anuradhapura

   Start after breakfast with a visit to Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital from the 11th-13th centuries. You'll see impressive ruins and learn about the kings who built it. Grab lunch, then head to Anuradhapura, one of Sri Lanka's oldest cities dating back to the 6th century, for more exploration.

5. Day 5

   Sigiriya to Kandy

   Rise early for a hot air balloon ride in the morning. After breakfast and checking out, you'll travel to Kandy with stops at Dambulla Temple and a spice garden in Matale. By evening, you're checked into The Kandy House.

6. Day 6

   Kandy

   After breakfast, walk through Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. In the afternoon, tour Kandy's city center and visit a respected jewelry shop. The evening features a Kandy Cultural Dance Performance, so you'll get dinner and entertainment wrapped together.

7. Day 7

   Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

   Drive to Nuwara Eliya, called 'Little England' for its colonial feel and famous tea production. Check in at Heritance Tea Factory and take an afternoon city tour surrounded by mountains, valleys, and tea plantations. You'll have a signature spa treatment at the hotel.

8. Day 8

   Horton Plains

   After breakfast, head out on a jeep safari at Horton Plains National Park. The highlight is 'World's End' where the terrain drops nearly 700 meters straight down. The park has lots of birds and wildlife throughout.

9. Day 9

   Nuwara Eliya to Bentota

   Travel to Bentota, passing through small villages along the way. You'll check into Cinnamon Bentota Beach and later enjoy a candlelit dinner right by the water.

10. Day 10

    Bentota

    The whole day is free on the beach at Bentota. You'll have a signature spa treatment at the hotel to enjoy during your downtime.

    Bentota

    Another full day of beach time at your leisure. If you want, there are optional activities available, but you can also just relax.
