Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Pokhara
You'll start with a 6-7 hour drive heading toward Pokhara Valley, and the road gives you nice views of Phewa Tal lake as you get closer. Once you check in at your hotel near the lake, the afternoon and evening are yours to walk around and find a place to eat. Pokhara has plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants to check out whenever you're hungry or want to grab a drink.

Landmarks/POIs Phewa Tal - Day 2
Pokhara to Kimche to Chomrong
After breakfast, you'll drive for about 3 hours from Pokhara to Kimche, heading through Nayapul and Birethanti. From there the trek starts, taking you through several villages including Sauli Bazaar and Chane before you cross the Khumnu Khola river. Later you'll pass through Siwai and then make your way to Chomrong village, which sits at the last settlement before the gateway to Annapurna Base Camp. You'll stay overnight at a guesthouse in the village.

Landmarks/POIs Khumnu Khola Siwai Chomrong - Day 3
Chomrong to Ghandruk
Starting from Chomrong, you'll trek down to Chomrong Khola and then ascend toward Khuldighar at 2,380m/7,810 feet. As you climb higher, you'll notice the forest starts to change and the landscape becomes more open and arid. The trail follows the west side of the river for a while, and you'll walk through sections of bamboo and rhododendron forests. By the end of the day you'll reach Ghandruk at 2,920m/9,580 feet and stay overnight at a guesthouse there.

Ghandruk to Annapurna Base Camp
Today's trek follows a trail that's often covered in snow, passing Hinku Cave and then Deurali as you continue climbing. You'll reach Machapuchare Base Camp at 3,720m/12,200 feet partway through the day, and from there it's the final push to Annapurna Base Camp. Once you arrive, you get to see the big peaks up close: Annapurna I, Khangsar Kang, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, and Machapuchare all around you. Spend the rest of the day resting at one of the teahouses at ABC and sleep there overnight.

- Day 5
Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo
You'll head back down from Annapurna Base Camp on a long descent, dropping about 1,700m/5,570 feet as you make your way to the Modi Khola river. After reaching the river, you'll continue trekking to Bamboo at 2,345m/7,690 feet. The day involves a lot of elevation loss, so take your time with the descent and stay overnight at a teahouse in Bamboo.

Bamboo to Jhinu Danda
From Bamboo you'll trek uphill to Sinuwa Village at 2,320m/7,610 feet, then continue on to Chomrong where you can take a short break. After resting, you'll head uphill again before the trail descends to Jhinu Danda Village. Once there, you can soak your tired muscles in the hot spring that sits just below the Modi River. This is a nice way to end the day, and you'll sleep overnight in Jhinu Danda.

Landmarks/POIs Sinuwa Village Jhinu Danda Modi River - Day 7
Jhinu Danda to Pokhara to Kathmandu
You'll trek for about an hour from Jhinu Danda walking alongside the Modi Khola River until you reach Siwai. From there you'll take a bus ride back to Pokhara, which takes around 3 hours. Later, you'll get in a vehicle for an 8-hour drive to Kathmandu to finish up your trek. This completes the full journey from start to finish.
