- Heather· May 30th, 2023I loved being greeted by a taxi man holding up my name! Haha the little things. Food at the hotels was pretty standard and much better than a standard continental at an American Hotel when traveling. Each selected hotel both at Mykonos and Santorini has pluses and minuses and language interpretations seemed to be a big one for me. The term “of Course” was used frequently so I had to keep in mind my questions were important because I needed the information but their responses were not likely intending my questions were ridiculous. I do wish that fo a solo trip excursions were included. My payment was higher because I was solo but 2 of my hotels were prepared for 2 people. Some communication mishap I suppose and no real inconvenience pay for me traveling solo verse with a partner. The ferry rides were ok. Plan to be rushed on and off as their schedule is tight. Also seat assignments don’t really matter in the scheme of everything unless you’re that guy. But half of the ferrymen tell you to sit on hay side anywhere and then others direct you to your seat. There is public smoking everywhere which I wasn’t used to. Smoking sections in restaurants is a thing of the past so it was kind of obtrusive. The restaurants on both islands were very good and do a wonderful job catering to the travelers. Take time to see the sights, go wine tasting, olive oil and honey tasting and walk the trails. I even visited a monetary. Overall a great time. The cost disparity for a solo traveler is my only complaint. Enjoy your trip!Show more
