Old Cairo
Start your day walking through Old Cairo's historic streets with an English-speaking guide who'll point out the architecture and history as you go. You'll head to Khan el-Khalili bazaar where narrow alleys are packed with shops selling everything from spices to textiles and souvenirs. The energy here is pretty intense with vendors calling out and the smell of coffee and perfume in the air. After navigating the bazaar, you'll check out Moez Street, one of the oldest thoroughfares in Cairo lined with medieval Islamic buildings and smaller shops. Throughout the day your guide will take you to local spots for meals, so you'll get to try some of Egypt's best food at different points. It's a full day of walking and exploring, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
