Halifax
You'll arrive in Halifax and head to your hotel in the city center on your own. Later this evening, you'll meet your tour director and other travelers at a welcome reception to get to know everyone before the trip begins.

Halifax to Moncton
This morning you're traveling to Moncton, New Brunswick, and you'll drive along the Bay of Fundy coast. You'll stop at Joggins Fossil Cliffs to see rock layers that are 300 million years old. After crossing into New Brunswick, you'll board a lobster boat on Shediac Bay where you'll learn about the local fishing industry and have lobster for supper.

Moncton to Saint John
You'll see the Hopewell Rocks, those unusual flower-pot-shaped formations created by the Bay of Fundy's extreme tides. Then you'll drive through Fundy National Park heading to Saint John on the southern coast. Once there, you'll get a city tour that includes the Reversing Falls before checking into your hotel.

Saint John to St. Andrews by the Sea
You're taking a day trip to St. Andrews by the Sea, a small coastal town with historic architecture and local character. You'll go on a whale-watching boat tour if weather cooperates, and then you'll have free time in the afternoon to walk around town and see what interests you before heading back to Saint John.

After a relaxed morning in Saint John, you'll board a ferry across the Bay of Fundy back to Nova Scotia and keep an eye out for whales during the crossing. You'll arrive in Digby, known as the scallop capital, where the local culture and coastal setting give the town its distinct character.

Annapolis Valley to Halifax

Halifax to Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg
You'll start with breakfast in Peggy's Cove, the fishing village, then travel along Nova Scotia's South Shore to Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Town. You'll walk through the town to see the colonial architecture and visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic to learn about the area's seafaring history.

Charlottetown and Prince Edward Island
You have a free morning in Charlottetown or you can join an optional walking tour of the city. This afternoon, you'll drive to Prince Edward Island National Park to see the red cliffs and beaches. You'll visit the Green Gables Heritage Site, the location that inspired Anne of Green Gables. Later, you'll watch a theater performance by local actors at the Confederation Centre of the Arts.

You're taking a ferry across the Northumberland Strait back to Nova Scotia and heading to Cape Breton Island. You'll visit the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site in Baddeck to learn about Bell's work and life on the island. By evening, you'll arrive at Bras d'Or Lake and check into your hotel.

Baddeck and Cabot Trail
You'll drive the Cabot Trail, one of North America's most scenic routes, which winds around Cape Breton's northern shore and climbs to high plateaus in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The viewpoints offer great photo opportunities of the rocky coast. You'll take a boat tour along the coast if weather allows, then return to Baddeck.

Baddeck to Halifax
You'll explore the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site, a reconstruction of a 1744 New France settlement. Staff in period costumes bring the history to life as you walk the streets. You'll then drive along Bras d'Or Lake back to the mainland and continue to Halifax for your final night.
