Marrakech to Imlil
A driver picks you up from your Marrakech accommodation and takes you to Imlil valley where your trek begins. You'll meet your local guide and start walking through the Aït Mizane valley, moving through Aremd village and past the Sidi Chamarouch sanctuary. After stopping by a nearby waterfall, the path gets steeper as you make your way up to the Toubkal refuge for the night. Plan on about 4 to 5 hours of walking total, so you'll want to pace yourself and bring plenty of water.

Jbel Toubkal Summit to Marrakech
An early start gets you headed toward Jbel Toubkal, North Africa's highest peak. You'll cross streams and work over rocky ground to reach the plateau, where it's worth taking a break to look out at the Marrakesh plain, the High Atlas range to the north, and the Anti-Atlas mountains plus Sahara stretching to the south. From the summit, you head back down the mountain toward Imlil and then get driven back to Marrakech by private transport. This is a long day with roughly 10 to 12 hours of walking and about 1 hour 30 minutes of driving, so bring snacks and energy for the full day.
