Customer Reviews
- Allan· September 30th, 2025The tour leader Sara was great. Very communicative and nothing was too much trouble. Sara looked after us very well. Local tour guides were generally good except for Rome where he was a bit boring. The biggest issue we have is the Hotel Giosue a Mare in Sorrento. We were very disappointed to stay at a hotel near the water and have a view of a rock wall half a metre from our window. We know other people in our group had balconies and water views. We requested a move to a different room but the rude woman at reception refused. Also, another couple in our group were moved out of their nice room to an inferior room for the third night supposedly because the shower needed repairs but they said the shower worked just fine. I think the hotel staff play favorites. We suggest you drop this hotel from you list.Show more

 - Lisa· October 2nd, 2025This Outlander tour was wonderful. It was booked with Rabbies which was excellent. The group was a group of 15 people which I liked. The bugs driver/ tour guide Lizzie was fantastic. Super sweet and chock full of stories and knowledge. The itinerary and overall organization was good. I felt we did a lot more Outlander heavy stuff on day 1 and day 4 which I loved. In the town of Falkland, we had dinner and further spend much time exploring there and got tons do some photos but that felt a bit rushed and this town I looked forward to see while area small, I wanted to soak in a bit more. We entered all castles with no issues as 99% of them came pre booked or were free to enter with exception of midhope castle. The accommodations provided were both excellent in my opinion. I was very happy where I stayed and had a full Scottish breakfast at both places. During the tour there were plenty of times bathroom breaks and a lunch break. The tour bus was easy to find in Edinburgh with the instructions provided and we were dropped off same location with ease. I highly recommend.Show more

Asked on February 21st, 2024Is the pricing for the tour based on double occupancy in the hotel rooms. Can you provide the names of the hotels that you typically book in each city? Also, we will be flying home from Rome, so will need to get from La Spezia to Rome. Is there a high speed train that we could take to Rome?
On The Go ToursOperator•Written February 2024According to Trainitalia website there are 2 trains from La Spezia to Rome at 10:13 (arriving Rome 14:33) and 19:12 (arriving Rome 23:42). Here are the hotels we usually use: Hotel St Martin (4 Star, Rome), Hotel Diana Roof Garden (4 Star, Rome), Hotel Garden Siena (4 Star, Siena), Best Western Grand Hotel Guinigi (4 Star, Lucca), CDH Hotel La Spezia (4 Star, La Spezia).
