Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Serengeti National Park

    You'll head out early and drive toward Serengeti National Park. Once you arrive, there's a packed lunch waiting, then you'll spend the afternoon on a game drive through the park. Lions, elephants, giraffes, and gazelles are all possibilities if you're lucky with the wildlife viewing. The night's at Seronera Campsite.

  2. Day 2

    Serengeti National Park

    After breakfast, you'll head out for both morning and afternoon game drives through Serengeti. Buffalo, hippos, elephants, and various antelope species move around the park regularly. The big cats - lions, leopards, cheetahs - are what most people hope to spot. Timing matters here since if the wildebeest migration is happening, you could see something really special. You'll return to Seronera Campsite for the night.

  3. Day 3

    Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

    Following breakfast, you've got a morning game drive through Serengeti that wraps up around noon with a picnic lunch included. By afternoon, the drive takes you toward Ngorongoro Crater. You'll reach Simba Campsite for dinner and settle in for the night there.

  4. Day 4

    Ngorongoro Crater to Nainokanoka

    After breakfast, you'll descend into Ngorongoro Crater for roughly 2 hours of game drives. From there, it's a drive to Nainokanoka where a short walk to local Maasai villages is on the schedule. Back at camp, you'll have dinner and overnight accommodation.

  5. Day 5

    Olmoti Crater and Embakai Crater

    You'll walk to Olmoti Crater after breakfast for some bird watching, then drive toward Embakai by way of Bulati. Gazelles, zebras, and other wildlife show up in this area. The route takes you down into Embakai Crater where flamingos, antelopes, and buffalos hang around the water. From the crater rim, you'll have a hot lunch, then dinner and overnight stay at camp.

  6. Day 6

    Walk to Naiyobi

    After eating breakfast and grabbing a packed lunch, you're walking to Naiyobi campsite on a trek that takes 4 to 5 hours. A Maasai village visit breaks up the walk, and on clear days Mt Oldonyo le Ngai comes into view. Dinner and overnight at Naiyobi, also called Chini ya mti.

  7. Day 7

    Pembe ya Swala to Lake Natron and Oldonyo Lengai

    Following breakfast, you'll walk to Pembe ya Swala where a car picks you up for the drive to World Views Camp. Maasai villages, the lake, and birds are all part of the route. After lunch, there's a walk to waterfalls with swimming available if you want it, then time to rest at camp. Just after midnight, you'll drive to the mountain base to start an approximately 6 to 8 hour trek up to the active Oldonyo Lengai volcano. The descent happens before sunrise to avoid the heat, followed by a full breakfast and rest time back at camp.

  8. Day 8

    Bird Watching, Flamingo Lake Walk, and Return to Arusha

    This day is for bird watching and flamingo viewing at Lake Natron, with sunrise or sunset being the cooler times to explore. There's an optional walk to the hominid footprints site where human footprints from 5,000 to 19,000 years ago have been preserved - an important archaeological location in Africa. After lunch, you'll drive back toward Arusha.

For tours departing after February 20th, 2026, a minimum payment of 30% is required to confirm your booking with Maasai African Guides and DMC Ltd. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
