  1. Day 1

    Siem Reap

    You'll arrive in Siem Reap and get picked up from the airport by your local driver and guide for the drive to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to settle in and relax. Later that evening, you'll meet up with your guide for a welcome dinner to kick things off.

  2. Day 2

    Angkor

    After breakfast, you'll head to the Southern Gate of Angkor Thom and check out the famous Bayon temple along with Baphuon and Phimeanakas. You'll see the Terraces of the Elephant and Leper King before stopping for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you'll walk through Ta Prohm and Angkor Wat temple, then climb up to Bakheng Hill to catch the sunset. Later, you'll watch a Cambodia traditional Apsara dance show.

    Siem Reap Countryside

    Today you're getting out to the countryside around Siem Reap to meet locals and see how they live. You'll visit Khmer traditional houses built on stilts in farming areas and stop by a Buddhist monastery. After lunch, you'll head to either Kompong Phluk or Kompong Khleang floating village to explore before heading back to your hotel around 5pm.

    Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh City

    You'll have breakfast and then transfer to Siem Reap Airport for your short flight to Ho Chi Minh City. When you land at Tan Son Nhat Airport, your guide and driver will pick you up and take you to your hotel. After lunch, you'll visit several Ho Chi Minh City highlights including Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Old Post Office.

    Cu Chi Tunnels

    You'll get picked up from your hotel and head to Ho Chi Minh Pier to board a luxury speedboat made of teak wood. The boat will take you about an hour along the Saigon River to Cu Chi Tunnels, with local fruit and refreshments available as you pass jungle-fringed canals. You'll explore the tunnel system itself, watch an introductory video, and see bomb craters from B52 raids.

  7. Day 7

    Hoi An

    Following a buffet breakfast, you'll take a rowed sampan out to Cai Be floating market, one of the cultural highlights of the Mekong Delta. You'll return to the lodge for lunch, and then transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for your short domestic flight to Da Nang. Your guide and driver will pick you up and take you to your hotel in Hoi An.

  8. Day 8

    Hoi An

    After breakfast, you'll go to local markets with your guide to pick out ingredients for a cooking lesson, learning about the produce as you shop. Then you'll take a cooking class with an expert chef and eat lunch featuring the food you prepared. In the afternoon, you'll walk around Hoi An town to see the 400-year-old Japanese Bridge, 300-year-old Chinese temples, and 200-year-old Vietnamese merchants' houses before heading back to your hotel for the evening.

    Hue

    You'll visit the ancient village of Phuoc Tich to learn about its architecture and cultural history by checking out local ancient houses. Then you'll take a small boat along the river to see rural life and the remains of the Champa Kingdom. Back in Hue, you'll have lunch at a unique garden house before visiting Hue Imperial City, where Vietnam's last royal dynasty lived with all its monuments, tombs, and pagodas. You'll finish by stopping at Dong Ba Market to observe daily local life.

    Dong Hoi

    You'll get picked up early from your Hue hotel and head to the demilitarized zone along National Highway 1A. You'll see the Ancient Citadel of Quang Tri, Hien Luong Bridge, the Seventeenth Parallel marking the old border between North and South Vietnam, and Vinh Moc Tunnel. In the afternoon, you'll follow Highway No 9 to Khe Sanh and the Suspension Bridge of Dakrong before transferring to Dong Hoi for the night.

    Phong Nha

    After breakfast, you'll head from Dong Hoi to Phong Nha for a dragon boat trip along Son River. You'll see Phong Nha Cave and Tien Son Cave, then explore Tien Son (Dry Cave) discovered in 1935 at 200m elevation with nearly 1km of passages filled with stalactites and stalagmites. You'll access 400m of the cave with lighting. After lunch, you'll visit Phong Nha Cave (Water Cave) just 1km away, a World Heritage Site with an 8km underground river system inside one of Asia's oldest karst mountains formed 400 million years ago.

Then you'll sail to Bai Tu Long Bay passing limestone karst landscapes, exploring Vung Vieng fishing village by local rowing boats, and anchoring for the night.     Halong Bay

    The morning starts with a Tai Chi session on the upper deck. You'll have early morning tea, coffee, juice, and pastries as the scenery passes by. You'll visit Thien Canh Son Cave and islets in the World Heritage area, then check out of your cabin for an early brunch. Finally, you'll board the tender back to the wharf where your vehicle will transfer you back to Hanoi.
