Flight to Lima
Your Peru adventure kicks off with a flight into Lima. Once you land and get settled, you'll check into your hotel for the night.
- Day 2
Lima City Tour to Arequipa
A guided tour walks you through Lima's colonial and modern sides, hitting Plaza San Martin, Plaza de Armas, and the historic San Francisco monastery. After that, you'll fly to Arequipa for a 2-night stay in the city.

Arequipa City Tour and Local Market
Arequipa's main square gets your attention first, along with the cathedral and the historic Jesuit church La Compañía. You'll head to Santa Catalina convent to see over 400 years of history, then browse the San Camilo market for local foods and medicinal plants. After visiting a social project, the afternoon is yours to relax.

Colca Canyon
You'll travel west toward Colca Canyon, a gorge that drops 4,160 meters deep. Passing through Pampa Cañahuas, you might spot alpacas or vicuñas along the way. By afternoon, you can soak in the thermal springs at your hotel while your body adjusts to the altitude (around 11,000 feet).

Colca Canyon Cruz del Condor and Return to Arequipa
An early start gets you to Cruz del Condor where Andean condors soar through the canyon. From there, you'll visit villages in the Colca Valley to learn how people live here, then have a traditional lunch. After all that, you'll head back to Arequipa for another night.

Flight to Cuzco and Sacred Valley
A flight takes you to Cuzco, then you'll transfer to the Sacred Valley, the ancient agricultural center of the Incas. The market in Pisac shows the variety of around 2,000 Peruvian potato varieties. You'll explore the hotel gardens once you arrive and settle in.

Maras Salt Mines, Moray Terraces, and Ollantaytambo
This morning brings a visit to the salt mines of Maras and the impressive terraces of Moray. You'll try a traditional Pachamanca meal with various meats, potatoes, and root vegetables. Later, you'll continue to Ollantaytambo to see the Inca fortress protecting the Sacred Valley, a small village that's largely unchanged from Inca times.

Machu Picchu
A panoramic train from Ollantaytambo carries you to Machu Picchu, then a bus brings you to the citadel itself. The day is spent exploring this Inca complex perched among the Andean peaks at 7,970 feet, taking photos and soaking in the views. You'll overnight in Machu Picchu village.

Machu Picchu Second Visit and Return to Cuzco
Rising early brings you back to Machu Picchu to catch the dawn atmosphere among the first visitors. You'll explore at your own pace and take in the mountain landscape. An optional Huayna Picchu ascent is available (€95 per person, limited spots, requires fitness). The train back to Ollantaytambo and then to Cuzco gets you settled for a 2-night stay, with the lively main square to explore in the evening.

Cuzco, the former Inca capital and UNESCO World Heritage Site, opens up for exploration. The tour covers the main square and its cathedral, the artists' quarter of San Blas, the busy San Pedro market, the Korikancha sun temple, and the famous dodecagonal stone. The afternoon heads to four major ruins around the city, with focus on the impressive Sacsayhuamán.

Cuzco to Puno via Lake Titicaca
You'll drive across the highland plains past grazing alpacas and snow-capped peaks of the Vilcanota Cordillera toward Puno on Lake Titicaca. A stop at the Sistine Chapel of the Andes in Andahuaylillas and the pre-Inca ruins of Raqchi happen along the way. Arriving in Puno in the late afternoon sets you up for a 2-night stay.

Lake Titicaca Boat Trip
A boat trip crosses Lake Titicaca, the world's highest navigable body of water at 12,507 feet. You'll first visit the floating islands of the Uros people, then continue to Amantani Island for a delicious lunch before heading back to Puno.

Starting the day relaxed, you'll stop at the ruins of Sillustani, set against the deep blue of Lake Umayo on the way to the airport. A flight back to Lima gets you to your hotel for the final night.

Departure from Lima
