Kigali
Your driver-guide will be waiting with a placard when you land at Kigali International Airport. From there, it's a transfer to your hotel for check-in. You'll have time to settle in and rest after your journey.

Landmarks Kigali International Airport - Day 2
Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, you'll drive about 2 hours to Volcanoes National Park where you'll get a trekking briefing. Then you'll spend an hour on a golden monkey trek, watching these playful primates in the lower bamboo zones. Check in at your lodge and grab lunch. Later in the afternoon, you'll take a dugout canoe trip on the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo before heading back to the lodge for the night.

- Day 3
Mountain Gorilla Trekking and Iby'Iwacu Cultural Village
After breakfast, head to Volcanoes headquarters at Kinigi for trekking tips and to find out which gorilla family you'll be tracking. You'll enter the tropical rainforest at 8am to search for endangered mountain gorillas. The trek typically takes between 2 to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas are moving. Once you find them, you'll have an hour to watch and observe their behavior. Back at the lodge, you'll have lunch and time to rest. In the afternoon, visit Iby'Iwacu cultural village to see traditional performances, learn about Batwa hunting techniques, ceramics making, and how locals brew banana beer. You'll meet local people and hear about Rwandan history before returning to the lodge.

Kigali Genocide Memorial Center and Departure
After breakfast, you'll drive roughly 2.5 hours to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center to learn about Rwanda's 1994 history. After that visit, if you want, there's time to check out Kimironko handicraft market for souvenirs before your transfer to Kigali International Airport for your onward flight.
