After arriving in Santiago, you'll get transferred to your hotel and settle in. This evening, meet your Travel Director and the rest of the group for a welcome dinner to get to know everyone before the trip really kicks off.

Valparaíso
Head out to the coastal city of Valparaiso and walk through its UNESCO-protected hillsides with a local guide. After lunch, you'll head to Bodegas RE Winery in the Casablanca Valley for a private wine tasting. The rest of the evening is yours to do whatever you'd like, whether that's relaxing at your hotel or wandering around on your own.

Santiago to San Pedro de Atacama
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Calama, then make your way to San Pedro de Atacama in the Atacama Desert. Later this afternoon, visit Moon Valley where a local expert will walk you through the distinctive dunes, caves and caverns while explaining the area's unique geology and history.

San Pedro de Atacama
Start early and head to El Tatio Geysers, the largest in the Southern Hemisphere located at 14,170 feet (4,230 meters) in the Andes. Watch the geysers erupt as the sun comes up and have a scenic breakfast in this remarkable setting. After that, visit Puritama Hot Springs before heading back to your hotel.

Head to the airport for your flight back to Santiago. Grab lunch at El Galeon restaurant in the Central Market, then explore Santiago's center including the Plaza de Armas and the 18th-century Metropolitan Cathedral. Walk along the famous Alameda avenue, cross the Mapocho River into the bohemian Bellavista district, and end the day at San Cristobal Hill.

Puerto Natales

This afternoon, choose between learning about the Patagonian cowboy way of life with local vaqueros or touring Reserva Cerro Paine's organic gardens. Tonight, join a special dinner featuring exquisite local flavors from Torres del Paine.
