- LBlaszlo· October 4th, 2024Started well ended bad Our driver Rob a young but grossly overweight man kept the temperature in the bus cold all the time as he was sweating, while he only wore short sleeve shirt all passenger had 3 layers and coat on On the 8th day 12 out of the 18 were coughing and sneezing I took all precautions as I got weak immune system from cancer but fall ill as well so missed out on events plus on a world trip and now have to continue being sick it's simply unacceptable behaviour from a driver. The tour was well organized and led by Derek, who had reservations for our group of 40, often we had a car for ourselves. It was my first time on the Eurostar under the English Channel. We spent 5 of our 7 nights in the same hotel. All our meals were great, the lunch was usually a box lunch I usually ate at a restaurant if I was hungry. My favorite trip was going over the Alps to Italy on the Bernia Express. The trains all stopped near our hotel. We had only one bus ride. That was in Paris on our return trip to London.Show more

I am a solo traveller and it is easy to feel left out with groups of couples but Emilie made sure I was part of the group when I wanted to be sociable, but was also happy for me to go off alone when I needed 'me time'. The small group was great (only 10) as was the mini-bus that allowed us to go into areas where a big bus could never go. Emilie was also flexible so there were unplanned stops for photos, and new places to see that weren't on the itinerary.
